You're right badeye, it's difficult to gauge how people take things in text. Because it's not like a vocal conversation where one can interrupt the other speaker and clarify things.

I think you're pointing at the fact that we don't need censorship and too right we should be able to say anything about anything at all times.

I have made a real mess of things several times, especially yesterday, but I think I've cleared the air by just keeping talking, Nadine is very cool (I know  that's an overused word), but it's true and I could have made an enemy instead of a friend. (If you you didn't see that thread check out the guys on bebo)
that is me acmecorp, nadine b(nadine2 on chordie) and les davies (boxer).

I also think that sometimes you have to make allowances for youth (and I don't mean that in a patronizing sense, we all had to grow up)

You of all people, do not need to apologise for anything, I've never found your posts to be anything but informative.

And yes everyone else, I realize that we're way off topic, but there's no apology for that because I've suggested an alternative.

Stay cool, your friend

Hey badeye, take a minute.

I'm doing a lot of apologising today but, did you see my thread about setting up another site, I'm guilty of taking things off topic, so I thought of finding a solution.

I don't think anybody want's to lose you, I'm sure I don't.

Please stay.

cheers

Hi, look at my new thread, we might just need it.

cheers

(That's my second attempt at poetry today, still crap at it)

I've allowed myself to go way off topic today.

Now there are two solutions, we can all chat on bebo about non-musical stuff

Or ... Because I have a website for my business (Acme Software) and I've just written some forum code for someone else which could be adapted (easily) , I'm willing to set up a free forum for chordies to talk about any old bollocks.

let me know

You're right actually, I really only remembered the movie line.

ite is the imperitive for 'to go' , but I think you also meant domum not domun.

Hang on a moment, Will

What the devil are you on about?

I don't seem to be able to find a copy of the "Classical Guitar Grade 3 Trinity Guilldhall book i" , hanging around in my kitchen, maybe the dog ate it.

But is that a progression,  a chord,  a position or what ?

please explain

Caleb, edit your tagline it's a bit long.

And... put your own list up if you disagree.

Now I don't think you're going to believe this, but it is true.

I did a Classics and Philosophy degree at university

I got a first in Latin, but don't expect me to remember much, that was 25 years ago.

Life, mate smile

Will, You really have to get a bebo account, then you talk about anything you feel like.

There is no such thing as off topic on bebo.

Check out my site for some incredible garbage.

Mott the Hoople, yeah, the Clash were big fans, but I don't classify the Clash as punk really.

I don't think that the term itself is particularly useful, would you call the Velvets a punk band, probably not but loads of so called punk bands claim them as an influence.

You forgot the Ramones, who claimed bands like the Beatles as influences amongst other 60's stuff.

Their name as probably everyone knows comes from a Paul McCartney psuedonym. (If you don't know that story, ask me to elaborate).
