1.  Stevie Ray Vaughn - Nobody can touch his sound and style.  Eric Clapton once walked out of a jam session at a club when he was scheduled to follow Stevie.

2.  Buddy Guy - one of Jimi and Stevie's mentors.

3.  Duane Allman - His work with Eric Clapton and the Allman Brothers is historic.

4.  Roy Buchanan - Just listen to "Roy's Blues" on his Livestock album.  The song pretty much describes his life.  Probably one of the most misunderstood and neglected guitarists.

5.  Bonnie Raitt - What can I say?  Her homegrown songs aren't much, but when she decides to really play the blues, there are few better on the slide.
