Jerome,
Love the pics.
Family life has definitely changed me.
It's a never ending change.
I'm thankful for what I've got.
My daughter and step-daughters all have their daddy wrapped around their fingers.

I've told my wife that my daughters will be nuns. I'm going to send them to nun school. There will be none of this, none of that, and none of the other.

Someday, I know that the children will all be grown and have their own little families, and I live in denial of this. They're all still babies to me, and for now I just can't envision anyone else holding them. " I Love You Daddy," is a very powerful thing.

Lena,
My wife told me the same. She said that time will go by quickly and before you know it they're all grown up. Her oldest son, My step-son is fourteen going on fifteen. I told her that time doesn't go by quickly. Then she compairs her oldests son to our daughter telling me that she thought the same and she can remember when her son was born too. I tell her that she's rushing them, but I know that all things come to pass and someday they'll all be gone with families of their own. Racheal doesn't want her own things, she wants whatever daddy has; My chair, my shoes, my shirts, my supper, my spot on the bed, when I get of the couch she wants my spot. Racheal is a hundred percent daddy's girl. with the exception to cottage cheese she'll even eat everything that I do. I can remember the trips to the O.B., the birth, her birthdays. Of course mine are newer than some others that are reading, but I'm sure that the memories are just as fresh as they just happened for everyone.

A few days ago my little girl appeared to be having bad dreams, She was uh-ing and tossing and turning . I placed her hand on the side of my face and she stopped. She smiled and continued with her sleep. A few hours later she started again. I reached for her hand, but this time she put my hand on the side of here face and wrapped her arm around mine. Then she smiled and went back to her peaceful dream. (Racheal will turn three on Valentine's Day).

If you were to ever ask as to weather or not there is a heaven then I would answer, " Look into a child's face, feel their breathe upon your skin. Do these things and you'll get your answer."

Racheal loves music, all music (just like Daddy). She will sing along with commercials. She will even beat on the guitar. I see her beating on it and I enjoy watching her having so much fun, but when she's away from it  thoughts of her breaking it come to mind. The music makes her happy and for that I could really care less if the guitar did get broken. I guess that since I can't really play it, that maybe the more she plays with it and becomes familiar with it she'll want to pick up on playing it at a young age.

Does anyone have any tips toward basically anthing involved with parenting. It doesn't matter if it's curing colds or getting them to eat their vegitables, or even to getting them to bed without a round of looking for "the boogy man"?

chookrunner,
just for kicks, start out with old theme songs. Things that most people will know.
It doesn't really matter how good it sounds, if you're having a blast they will too.
Try this look about the audience, walk over to a person here and there and ask them if they can remember this song. Then start playing they theme song to Scooby Doo or the monkeys or something. Then introduce a friend or relative in the audience and embarrass them, with fun of course.
If you can keep it fun without doing anything that would cause bad feelings then you could play a song from a specific war. Be tasteful though.
Be creative and make it rememerable. Most of all have fun.

rockerchick,
Is there any particular reason that you want that particular guitar?
Are you out for an electric, or acoustic?
Don't just say"I want this one or that one", go to a music store and give them all a try.
Here's a warning though... If you try electric guitars, then use the same amp on all of them. Sometimes different amps may produce different sounds and you may just pass up a really good guitar cause of a really lousy amp. The same goes for shopping for an amp. Take one guitar and plug it into all the different amps until you find the one that's right for you.

Lyrics are good.

Do you have the music yet, or are you wanting for some prospects?

Lena,
thanks for the site.
I haven't time to read it right now, but I'll print it out for the weekend reading.

I think I'll make a couple of books. One will be songs by Lena, and the other will be knowledge by Lena.

You would be a great teacher, in any field.

Love Ya,
Joe

Lena,
The Lyrics have a slower sound to them, but maybe a medium to faster chorus.

I can't do the F-chord yet either.
Insted of strumming the chords, maybe strum slowly or individual strings.

C,D, and G, I agree. not sure about the B7.

We'll never be free from terrorism until we can go on with our daily lives, and when we have to watch what we say or have someone tell us what we can see then we truely aren't free. We've gone from one type of terrorism to another one.

CP,
This site is full of concerned parents. We all do our part to try and keep this a clean site, but with any site there is always a chance that some trash can get through. As I do with my children; First they don't go on the enternet unless my wife or I am in the room, second, they can only go to sites that are pre-approved.

Not all languages are the same. For instance if you were to visit mexico and then visit Puerto Rico you'd here spnish, but just those two countries have different pronunciations of words as well as different meanings to the exact same words.
Even here in the South, Just the accent alone is of a great difference. So if you should happen to see a word, then try not to take offense to that word, yet try to read it in context.
Here is a word for you to see how many differences there are: "Bathroom".
Look for that one word and you can find better than a dozen words all meaning the same.

Doc,
I feel that America has somewhere gotten its morals mixed up. It wants so bad not to offend that it is the oppitomy of offensive. The holidays just, for some, make it worse.

I heard the other day that a Santa Clause wasn't alloud to say "Ho,HO,HO" because it was offensive to women so now that Santa has to say "Ha, Ha, Ha" instead. Buggs Bunny is to violent, but South Park, The Simpsons, and Beavis and Butt Head aren't.

American is so greedy that it has what's called "Black Friday". This is a day that most every store will drop the prices on everything, in order to increase its sales. People go completely crazy. Theft/armed robbery increases to unbelievable proportions. Why can't they just lower the cost and keep it that way year round.

I love my family dearly, but I am one that dreads the holidays. I would love to get my wife and kids everything their hearts desire, but I just can't. The holidays just help to remind me of my accomplishments and failures in life. All the holidays come at once. Then to compound it birthdays all fall in too.

There is so much that I wish for my family, friends, and lets face it I have wishes for the whole world. The Holidays are a reminder of my mortallity.

I remember an old commercial that went something like, "I'd love to buy the world a coke and to teach it to sing in perfect harmony, I'd love to buy the world a coke and teach it how to smile." Or something like that.

A large part of this world is run by greed and the holidays just make it all that more visible.

Lena,
This most definitly sounds like a mother to son conversation.
It's like you sat you son down before he got married and this was that conversation.
Beautifully written.
In a way, It's almost as though you were telling it to me.
This should be submitted to Halmark for a card.
You definitly touch a person's soul. Your words can not only be read, but felt as well.

There have been those that have placed unwanted material on chordie.
It it possible for chordie to place a few lines on the registration page for new people advising them that first there is some material that is unwanted on this site (porn material). Second advisising them that if they should find a post that wasn't deleted that it's everyones obligation to report it. Last state the proper way and who to report it to.
I understand that all the warnings in the world won't stop everybody from posting (porn), but it will possibly curve most away.
Maybe even on the opening page state that there are those on this site that niether want nor appreciate this material. If someone wants to view this kind of material then they know where they can go to find it.

Thanks to you and everyone else that is continually keeping this a good clean family site.

Doc,
Don't appologize for anything.
Everyone is doing the best they can to keep this a clean site.
Say what you feel. This is a topic that effects everyone one this site.

Joe Fitz,
I like it. Play a tune and keep to why I'm here and ignore the garbage. I've never came across any on this site, but there are those that have and there's always that one time that I could as well.
If you come across smutt, report it and go on with your life.

arkady,
Someone's always out to make a buck and sometimes they don't care how they get it. It's kinda like dropping bombs from a plane. You never see who it hits so you get desinsitized. You drop a bomb and continue on your mission. They post trash on this site and post on every site there after, in hopes of that almighty dollar.

aj1,
If you should decide to replace the guitar, what are your plans for the old one?
Maybe you could give it to a local school or church or something. Even though it doesn't sound as good as it once did it would be good to teach someone with. It doesn't have to sound good to learn on it just has to be there forsomeone to learn their fingering on.
I've found that some old things that you donate are met with great appreciation. The person that receives it won't care how it sounds, just that it was a gift. With Christmas coming up it's a thought.

last_rebel,
have you tried typing in (collectors/collections)?
Your collection is a valueable one, especially if there aren't any scratches. Even if they've got a few scratches then they're quite valueable.
I think that value is mainly what it's worth to you to keep them in good working order not what someone else would pay you.
For instance: I spent some time looking for a particular book. A man I knew went on the internet, he asked me how much was I willing to spend to get it. I told him I'd be willing to spend a hundred dollars for it cause it wasn't the money it was the sentimental value. That particular book was one that had gotten me interested in reading during a time in my life that I hated books. Well, he found a copy for .75 cents. He kept looking and found me one, that with shipping cost me about twenty dollars. You see, it's not what it was worth to someone else, but rather what it was worth to me and what I was capable of paying.

You should be able to find a price for your records. Good luck with your hunt.
In finding the price, decide if you are willing to part with them or are you just browsing.

Good luck and good hunting.

Altex,

There are problem solvers and then there are the problem creaters.
No matter what site you go to there are going to be people that try to fill all of us with filth and perversion, but it's up to all of us to not only report problems, but to try and stop it. If you want to keep the site clean then first you must report it then you could even send out your own warning to others. I have several chordians that I've got in my address book.

I've never ran across anything inappropriate,Yet, but there is always that possibility. Instead of complaining, do something.
Report it!!!

I'm proud to call myself a member of this site. I've met lots of people that never put me or my questions down. There is always someone here that is willing to help. I've came across other sites that don't care and it shows. If the people on this site didn't care it would be so filled with trash that noone would ever get anything accoplished.

If something gets through then you can't play the blame game.

Lena,
If you can't find what you're looking for maybe it's that you've gotten to good for what you've got.

Explore the sounds, Try alternating strings( one brass, the next steel, the third nylon, etc.)

Maybe try a whole new instrument, like a banjo.

Don't settle for the known sounds of the guitar, create new ones. (van Halen used to tape dimes or other objects. Supposedly.)

Someone had to be the first to create the chords that we all know. So create new ones.

umarboy,
Go to a music store and grab a guitar and plug it into each of the different amps and judge them for yourself. Use only one guitar.
Are you playing for a band?
Are you playing for charrity?
Are you playing for fun?
Are you playing for all of the above?
Most music stores are glad to have their customers try out the equipment, but don't let them pick for you.
It kind works like this: Their are some that want your business and some want your money. So when you go test the equipment tell them that you are looking for a future purchase and that you're not looking to buy right now. Also don't let them rope you into buying on credit, or getting one of their credit cards.

hcullis,
I've never had any problems on this site.
check your computers settings to insure that all the fail safe are properly in place.

ps.
Sometimes people will go to sites that they shouldn't be on and they'll alter their settings to allow this to happen, thinking that noone will find out, and then you'll get a worm or virus.

Don't accept any mail from anyone that you don't know, send it directly to the trash can and don't open it.
Avoid any sites that say, " free, or you won, or I'm a muti-billioniar and I just can't get my money." Trash can it all cause it's all trash anyway.
