What do you mean by good? Good priced, long lasting, do you want to have it compaired to another one. Everyone has there own opinion. I think that Fender, no matter the style makes good guitars. I like the Peavey myself, but that's only cause I can use my stubby fingers on it better than most others that I've tried, for my price that is.

There's love for you across the big pond.

Thanks to everyone.
I'm not giving up. Sometimes it can get frustrating being around others and they make music and I make noise.
I know that everything comes with time, practice, and patience.  Sometimes I let the frustrations of the work day roll over into my music. I don't ever take the frustrations home with me, but sometimes one frustration will only add to another.
Maybe I'll take out the frustration on a couple of golf balls.

Daniel 13,
It could also help if you could remember some of the lines.
Was this a song that you heard on the radio, television, or in church?
Sometimes you can write the television, radio station and get some information.

I often find it difficult to play the right chords due to stubby fingers. I have a peavey that I use and I'm repairing an old Espana to be used. I find that when I try making some chords that my fingers either won't strech or bend to form the chords. I know that, with time, I will have more mobility with my fingering. I am going to look for an acoustic with a thinner neck.
Should I play on a thinner neck guitar until I get the mobility or should I play on what I've got?

rockerchick,
The clothes don't make the person.
Take for instance: Meatloaf, Liberaci, The Knack, Bill Haley and the Comets or even Elton John. The list goes on and on. To see any of these and then to put them to their music just wouldn't match up.
Be yourself. Some will love you and some will hate you. That's life.
If you change to make others happy then you'll spend the rest of your life changing, cause it's impossible to please everyone. For instance: I like liver and the very smell of it will make my wife puke. My wife likes maccaroni salad and I don't.

Changing will only make you loose sight of who you are. We all change with time, but don't change just to fit in with a group.

Some people are born adults and others never grow up. We all make choices in our life, some good some bad, but choices all the same. What ever you do, before you do it, think about it first.

To meet me you'd never guess my age. To some I'm older and to some I'm younger. Points of view are different. Don't be in a rush to grow up. Injoy everything that comes with being a kid.

You are going through something that is no different than things that everyone on this site has gone through at some point in their life time.
You love your music and that's all that matters.
You'll find, that in time, people will start hanging out with you.
That's only if you hold true to your convictions.

cool to who?
don't try to impress others.
I've seen ugly band members.
I've known people that were real jerks.
step back and evaluate the whole situation.
I've known famous people that were totally miserable, and I've known people that were playing on a street corner and were just as happy as could be.

Helena,
Your poetry is a beautiful place.
You make us remember.
Some things forgotten by time, others forgotten by choice, but all forgotten.
You have the ability to make us sit back and think.

ardstech,
Just because you don't think your songs sond good doesn't make them any good. There have been many number one hits that make absolutely no sence. Then you have songs that are spoken. You've even got songs that are stories.

Wooley Bully
Ringo
Big Bad John

Give it a try.

jets60,
You've sumed up a thousand years of music.
I think this song can inculded everyone and every genre.

Sometimes music helps me to remember.
Sometimes music helps me to forget.
Sometimes music helps me to express the way I feel.

last rebel,
This is one of those songs that could keep going.
So keep going...

Zurf,
Being married for twenty-years. I've only been married for three.
I don't know if this would be a good comparison, but your giutar is like your child.
There have been times when My wife and I have had to go on a trip that may last a day or it might last for several days, but I spend more time awake thinking/worring about our two and half year old (Racheal) that we couldn't take with us.

I guess it's kinda like having a small child in the house. You spend time nurturing it. You spend time taking care of it. You grow as it grows. You do the best you can. You spend time apart wondering and worring. While you're apart you want to hold your guitar. You could always go into a music store and play on something they've got, but it's not the same.

Has your wife gotten jealous of the guitar yet?
Did your wife ever get jealous of the time you spent with the kids and not her?
I've got a very jealous, insecure wife. I understand her reasons.

glennbaker,
What were some of their songs, and where are they from?
what type of music did they play?
I can't find it, but if you could get in the ballpark maybe it would be of more help.

gitaardocphil,
I feel that people will often boast about one thing that they are good at to hide the things that they are bad at.
It's one thing to be proud of yourself and proud of your accomplishments, but it's another to take it and try and jamm it down others faces.
A little side nudging here and there is great among friends, but arrogance is ignorance.

As for me I was born in 1970.
I've met lots of people, but I've never done that autograph thing. What's a piece of paper with someone's name on it for. I know I've met a few people in my life, why do I need a signature to prove it. My grandfather, or other older people would show me a picture, ballcard, an autograph or something of that nature and tell me all about the people that they met. Like I would ever doubt them or something. I didn't live during the halocaust and I wasn't there when president Kennedy was shot. So for someone to tell me about their past or where they've been is a great thing.
I love to read about how some of the fellow chordie people have taken trips, about their lives, and their music. I don't need to see a piece of paper or a picture to believe. Just hearing the stories is like being there myself.
I've found a lot of people on this site that I can drop a personal e-mail to every now and again. Old Doll is great. I talked with her a little and she even sent me a song. Sometimes you can take but a moment and it's like the person you've just met has been a friend to talk with for years.
I've received a lot of help with a few simple questions. This by far is the best site I've found.

rockerchick,
Never use your age as an excuse. The man that created the Kentucky Fried Chicken restuarant chain had spend his life trying new ideas and only succeeded after he had retired.
If you want something bad enough, don't let your age or gender stop you.
Achievement is made through trial and error, and striving to never quit. If you want it bad enough, you'll get it. Maybe not as quick as you'ld like. Maybe not even in the methode that you thought it would come.
If you want it then achieve it, don't make excuses.
Not all words in songs are spelled the way they should be. Not all words are sang as they are written.
You could spend your life looking for words and never find them. You could spend your life looking for chords and never find them. Put your poetry in a book. Don't sit around pondering on just one thing.
As Ken wrote, he has had songs and chords for longer than you've been around. You've bogged down your mind.
Don't let other people sign in and out using your name. Let them get their own. When someone reads your posts, they want to know that they are talking to you. If you start letting others sign in and out on your name then it becomes misleading, and you'll find that others will become reluctant to respond to you.
You are a great poet rocker(Alanis Morissette)chick. Your poetry comes from within.
Words/chords will come, just give it time.

rockerchick,
You song is very deap and quite poetic.
'Alanis Morissette' wrote songs about personal expieriances.
Pick up 'Jagged Little Pill"

Everyone responding to her post please try and remember that rockerchick's last post and that with her age will come raw feelings and emotions.

The profanity that is received should probably be taken for has  it is written and not for other possible meanings.

rockerchick, don't quit writting. This is a chance for you to express yourself in a non-violent and productive way. Some people express themselves by lashing out. You're doing it in an adult way.

keep on expressing yourself. We've all lost someone that was dear to us, and we've each had to express our pain in our own ways.

If you feel it, then write it.
If you see it, then reach for it.
If you dream it, then go get it.
Hold your head high and be proud of your first lyrical post
We all misspell.

rockerchick,
I don't want for you to take this badly, but sometimes people will judge us by the company that we keep.
This can be a really bad situation for someone that has been flung into a place where they're sorrounded by 'sewer water'.
Sometimes we find ourselves in the company of people that we normally wouldn't associate with, except that this is all that's around.
The world can get pretty lonely when you feel that you've got noone to talk with.
Don't dispare, and don't ever give up your convictions. You'll always find someone to talk with on this sight. If you decide that some of you talks can feel to personal to just blurt them out, then try looking through some of the people's comments and maybe you'll be able to find someone that you feel you can talk with.
Old Doll, Is on person that I've found that you could talk with. Then there's upyerkilt, and jets60. There are many more, don't ever think that you're alone, cause you're not.
