How About Nashville, while country wasn't inventer there, it's centered there...as well as Austin Texas..where there are lots of what I call progressive country. Though I must admit I'm also a big blues fan.

Hi Guitarpix, and Topdown,

I really appreciate you guys help, it's nice to know others from North Carolina..I've been up, or over to Lewisville a few times, and while I've been to Lumberton and Wilmington a few times, not sure I've been through your town "Chadbourne", but anyway..it's great to hear from you both. I have a son who lives in Wilmington however. I love playing around with the guitar, and while I'm not much good at it, I am beggining to get much better than I ever hoped I might, as they say...practice, practice, practice...I've gotten so much help here on Chordie, from the songs, the people, and all the posts on here. I wish I had a friend who plays that could teach me some things, everything I've learned I've just read, practiced, read some more, practiced some more and on and on. I try new things all the time, and with the help I've gotten on here..well...it's been lots of fun. Again I'm glad to know you two guys are close by here in NC...thanks again guys!

Hi Guitarpix,

Thanks for the info, Guess I should have been a little more specfic, I understand the notes, I should have said that I was looking for finger placements for each barre chord, even though I think I have a pretty good idea, just wanted to check behind myself and be sure, but again thanks for your help...anyway, I from outside of Lexington NC...out in the country, it's in what I guess is considered the Triad...near High Point, Greensboro, Winston Salem area..what about you Guitarpix, what part are you from?...anyone else near here?

I first saw John Prine back in 1976, in Galax Virginia, I was hooked from that point on, the first song I learned on Guitar was "Paradise" by John Prine..it was a 3 day outdoor event, everyone who was anyone was there...From Prine..Bonnie Raitt, David Bromberg, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The Dillards, from Andy Griffith show, even Jerry Garcia..Mac Wiseman...So many now that I can't remember who all was there, it was estimated that over 300, 000 people were there, it was great, one of my favorite times in my younger life, and John Prine was great, also..you guys should listen to a band called "Goose Creek Symphony" if you like John Prine..they are absolutely great...a couple of their best albums are "Welcome to Goose Creek"...and "Words of Ernest"...give them a listen..you'll be glad you did!

Hello Everyone,

I posted a message about Goose Creek sometime back but no replies, so I thought I'd try once more, I really love this band but haven't found anything about them on here. Lots of people looked at the question, but again, no replies, If anyone at all could help me with the chords to any of their music I'd so appreciative. I grew up on this band, they have no song books so thats not an option, you can listen to them online, at several sites, including "youtube"...can anyone please help me, this means so much to me, thanks to you all, I love this site, it's the best place online for resources there is, so hopefully someone can help me!

Maybe you could try "From this Moment" by Shania Twain...I don't know your taste in music, but it's a beautiful song
