The Adventures of a Reluctant Printer by David  ''Buvvy''  Butler. For those of you who might be interested the book is now available on the net and the information is listed below in the Market Place section.

Jerry, that was a really rousing speech. Bravo old chap.
Jerome, in the days of yore, your little chirp would have cost you your head. Are you not glad that Lizzie is on the other side of town to you.
As for politicians, they are all football players in the same universal team ''scumbags united''.
As for seriously true corruption, I don't think that anybody can beat our guys over on this side of the pond. Africa, [just for those who might not know].
One last thing, I really do not know how poor old Lizzie manages on a measly 38 million buckeroonies per year. It must be murder to struggle so. That's me, at least i'm far away enuff' to keep my head where it sometimes belongs.

Well done on what you've written. I had to put one of my dogs down a few weeks ago, and it's just such a terribly hard thing to do. Your words brought back many memories and moist eyes. I wrote a song for my dogs a while back and friends asked me to play it for them
a week ago, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Once again, well done, it is good to know that there are compassionate and caring people in this violent world in which we live.

Toots, way to go - it just go's to show that you are never too old to be a full on rocker. Sometimes you just ''gotta do what you wanna do'' - loud and proud, keep it up. You also prove that age is nothing but a state of mind.

Hi Alvee33, I think that Lover Boy has done a duck, or possibly found musos closer to home. As for hijacking, well, he has had rather a long time to reply.
Butch 8844, I have never heard of Bloomsberg in my area, BUT, and this is a huge BUT, I live in Philly, in Cape Town, South Africa, maybe, just maybe, you are thinking of Philly in the USofA, in which case we really are all very far apart. But, I would love to get together with someone for a good jam. Plane tickets could be costly tho'. But many thankx for the offer
MKM son, I don't mind who sings my scribblings, but my computer skills are very, very minimal [ask the mods on the songwriting forum], so internet musical communication could be tricky, but skype is one way around that problem. As it is, I now have 510 songs gathering dust - but, many thankx for the reply.

Done

Way to go , Jim - good for you, good stuff.

Dolly, from my perspective you hit the nail firmly on the head. I am in full agreement with you. To go off on a slightly different tangent , but on the same subject, I think it was Daddy Cool and also Phil Williams, correct me if i am wrong, who said that they
often don't know where the inspiration for their many songs comes from, but that the words just flow. Guided hands maybe --  just food for thought. But well written and put Russell.

Hi Dolly, i've mailed you privately today, we were without internet for the last week, the prob has been sorted now. My mail address has also been sorted on Chordie, and should now all be correct. this could be grounds for a new song ''The cyber Age'',  or The Digitally Challenged. lol

Dolly, very esoteric, and as always, excellently  scripted. Keep up the great penswomanship. how's that for a mouthful - lol - it is supposed to be gender ambivalent and friendly.

Go for it  Fatstrings, it ain't difficult. Being a senior member is WAAAAAY better than being a mere member. Not as good as an honorary member, but nevertheless, it is a title to wear with pride.

Hey Badeye, it's all in the mind, and the bank managers' coffers - but, without dreams,  what are we?  apart from broke lol

At the current exchange rate, the salary increase is brilliant. I can't wait to become a very senior member. I can only dream about becoming an honorary member  --  $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Hi Ken, i noticed that you joined Chordie 3 days after i did. I have also noticed that you are an honoured member and that i am a senior member. Does this mean that i am OLDER than you. I turn 63 on June 2. [dangerously close].  Do i call you sir, or do you call me sir. I think that an honour title carries more clout than a mere senior title. What's your take on the situation. Keep well and power to your creative pen.  --  LOL

Another great write Kap, well done. Power to your pen.

Good grief, all of this over a simple drumming question. It's Jon Hiseman, ok, enuff' already. Jon rules.

KENT  STATE – DON’T  BE  LATE

ARMED  TO  THE  TEETH
WITH  NO  FLOWERS  TO  BE  SEEN
ONLY  SHINY  BARRELS
TO  PUT  A  BULLET  IN  YOUR  SPLEEN
    Tricky  Dicky  slipped  and  fell
LBJ  is  on  his  way  to  hell
    Tricky  Dicky  smelt  a  rat

TO  FINALIZE  ANOTHER  PLAN
LET’S  BOMB  CAMBODIA
WHILE  WE  STILL  CAN

The above words came to mind after reading the remembrances of the slain students, so i typed them up quickly - no chords. That was a sad day in history, but if one looks at the world today, it doesn't seem as if much has improved. There was, and still is, a great deal to be said for the ethos of the sixties, it is only a pity that it could not perpetuate for ever.
