Hi fellow chordians
Advice please,I have a Tanglewood TH 502 semi acoustic and was wondering which strings would suit it best,Electric or Acoustic ? light or heavy ?

now i am a strummer (cant pick yet sad ) and i would say pretty heavy handed, and mostly play ( and i use the word "play" very loosely )oldies 1950`s, rock n roll type of stuff.

Any tips ?

Cheers micky cool

hi  Fellow Chordians

i think i have a problem with my guitar, well the amp i think?

it has a "shadow" brand pre amp on my electro acoustic guitar, i tried to tune my guitar via the chromatic tuner on my zoom a2.1u box and it didnt work (looked like it wasnt picking up the guitar)so i tried my tanglwood semi acoustic and it worked fine.
reet gettting back to the problem... i put in a new battery, power light not lit up? come to think of it, its never lit up yikes ,(lead plugged in)
zoom chromatic tuner dont reconize it?... took out the pre amp fiddled with the jack plug in back and the little power light flickered? Help!!!
1 i take it when the lead is plugged in to the guitar, the power light suposed to be lit?.. the lead to amp  zoom box etc? cos it aint lit anytime.

its deffinetly not the zoom chromatic tuner  as ave said it worked fine on my tanglewood.

any ideas lads & lasses?

ohhh ave been using a clip on tuner since i bought this guitar so never ran a tuner through the  pre amp

Hi fellow chordians!

Well ave put getting another guitar on the back burner for now (thought better to learn how to play the ones ave got first lol wink ).. but ave invested my money in what i think a nice little box of tricks http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/qq316/jack_RT/zoom.jpg i went for the Acoustic one

Am not very techno, but i need a new direction (help in other words,as stuck in a rut) with timming/rhythm etc, so maybe it will help?
Tried the chromatic tuner, bust the high E string and listened to a few drum settings thats all for now.

Anyone else got one of these? any advice?

Cheers micky cool

Ave been trying to play Buddy Hollys "Oh Boy!" ver 2, there seems to be a bit missing as you go to the Bridge, I found a UTtube clip but its to fast to work out though it looks like its just on the  E string. anyone know it?

( like a walk down/up, if thats the right expression?)approx 30 seconds played

Hi fellow Chorians

I am in need of advice are my ears decieving me?

The song Party Doll, on chordie one version is using the  G6 chord, it dont sound to clever?or as ave said are my ears decieving me ?
verse 3 uses  G chord which sounds correct, guitar is in tune (electro/acoustic)

ave tried the to G6 chords i know  6th & 5 th string, also 6th only (2nd fret)
or maybe am playing them wrong (which probably most likely)?

I know theres a simple version using A E D,

Hiya fellow chordians
Went out to buy some strings for my electro Acoustic guitar, so many to choose from (for fellow brits)i saw and bought some "RotoSound" phosphor bronze 11, mainly because they made in the UK.
Anybody heard of these?  are they any good? alegedly used by "known" musicians

or shall i use the for slicing blocks of cheese instead lol wink
