Been gone from here a good while but checked in to see if it was still hanging together. So glad it is. I just would like to thank all the other VETS for their service. God Bless you all.

I am 73 and hate change but I understand when things need fixed before  they are completely gone. I will get used to it, after all it costs me nothing and I appreciate the effort put into it. I have been a member for a few years now and am not going to quit the ole gal just because she changed dresses.

I let them play them. Good friends are sometimes harder to replace than good instruments. However before they get far into their song I will decide if they will play it a second time.

Short as I can explain I went to the  see if I could get something to take the edge off .What was prescribed did not agree with my body.Made me feel fainty and weird. The Dr. said it was panick attacks. Take another pill. After xrays, ct scan, heart cath, ecocardio something or other and other tests which all came back with pretty normal results I chose another Dr. He took me off of the stuff I was taking and put me on something different and got to feeling better instantly. Started me on a pill to be taken 3 times a day. That was soon changed to 1/2 pill 3 times a day. I am now down to 1/2 pill at bed time. Sometimes I take another 1 /2 in the morning if I feel I need to.  Did not want to highjack the thread but thought I should explain.

I check in pretty regularly but don't say  much. Been fighting some anxiety issues since May but my new Dr took me off some pills that were doing more harm than good and I am doing pretty well. Glad to hear your report my friend.

Isn't it wonderful that you don't have to know someone personally to wish them well? Prayers from Louisiana for a speedy and complete recovery.

My heart goes out to you Joey.  This time last year my wife was fighting Cancer. On feb6,2014 Cancer won the battle but she won the war. We were together 46 years. I still consider us married. I wear both rings on a chain around my neck.  My faith and my music keep me going. May God Bless You.

I had the wrong date to begin with. Sorry.

14hrs 36min or 957.3 miles whichever comes first. Not out of the question since I'm not working(my choice) right now. What a 72nd. birthday(3-21-15)present to self it could be. Can't commit right now but will confirm one way or the other as time gets closer.  Will stay in tent in the area if possible.I can play guitar or mandolin equally as bad.Prefer to travel with mandolin.

Well it looks like I am going to have to pass on this one.i had my hopes up but not to be. Hoping it will be a great one and lots of fun for all.

I will be heading that way sometime in the near future. Rick Felkel is in the process of building me a mandolin. When it's done I plan to pick it up. Afraid to have it shipped.

I too was a model builder when I could get enough coins together to buy a kit. The Corsair, P40,P38 and F86 Saber Jet were my favorites.

Martins and Taylors are great for sure but if price is a concern (and for me it is) I would suggest putting your hands around an Epiphone "MasterBilt" DR-500 NS.I love mine.
