Film yourself!!! It almost feels like you are playing to an audience and can be a bit nervvy.
You can see where you need to improve nad where you are ok
Helps me anyway.....also a bit of dedication helps

Adopted a Fender Acoustic and was extremely disappointed with it, cant remember the model now but passd it on fairly rapidly.
Have had a Yamaha FG340 for 28 years and sounds sweeter by the day, never goes out of tune, and my latest pride and joy is a Gibson SJ200 TV.......what a pleasure to play
