That's true, theory is very handy for playing with other people who know it. I've been playing for about 3 years and I know very little theory, just some basic chords, no scales or anything, but I don't need scales now. I'm at the stage where I can just see the note that's going to sound good next. Like most people said, It can make you better in a way, but I don't think it's at all necessary. Also, like evsynator said, there's no better time to learn it than now with the net and everything.

Hey everybody, I'm brand new to this site and I was wondering if anyone knew the chords for Lost At Sea by Rory Gallagher. I can't find them anywhere online and they're really difficult to figure out by ear. Please help if you can or if anyone just wants to talk about Rory gallagher that's cool as I think he's probably the best guitarist ever.
