Hey Bensonp, Lots of great songs here. I don't have a link for this one but how about " Just Bummin Around " written
by Pete Graves. Btw he lives about a 1/2 hr from me and I've been lucky enough to play music with him over
    the years here and there.

Was wondering Zurf how that project was going? Are you going for a ballad or a more bluesy sound?
Seems to me either way or maybe something along the lines of "Turn the Page", Bob Sieger.

Hey all,  Was wondering if anone has one of these or has played thru one? Went to a local music shop
yesterday and almost walked out with it. Great sounding all tube switchable 4watt-1watt-.25watt.
Retro look, comes in a combo with one10" or head on one12"cab. Pedal array friendly-----gotta
cut this short cuz I'm heading back to the store.lol    Mike

Hey Wayne, What can I say but once again great job!! I liked the balance you got--sounds good. I'm still messin with an old Tascam 4 track. Need to upgrade but too many other needed things first. Some times my work takes me to Wy. Last year we were at Peetz, Co. and drove thru Wy. Who knows--I might get to see you live singin-n-pickin!       Mike

Hey thanks all, Got some studying to do now. Thanks for the link wonk, but now I'm confused as to why a manufacturer would wire this in series when the link suggests not to run speakers in series. Interesting tho. I found another bit of info in the manual which shows a "damping circuit" which runs from the ext. speaker to the power side?? Ok--neighbor and I are going to the Guitar Center wed. and I'll pick their brains and probably bring home a digitech 2 voice harmonizer and maybe an extra cab.
   Thanks again all!!   Mike

Hey Jerry, Thanks for the answer on this amp. Yea-I better be careful not to screw-up my new amp(new to me). Had too many the other night and plugged in my buds bass cab(4/10's@8ohms so he says) briefly and it sounded killer! Anyway thanks again,

Hey everyone, got a question about my Crate GTD 65 amp. It has an extension speaker jack on the back but the owners manual doesn't tell what ohm rating size I can plug into it. It does show that the internal12" is wired in series to the jack at 8 ohms. I assume that I must plug in one that is also 8 ? I know little about series and parallel wiring. Thanks-Mike

Hey Forever, Welcome to Chordie and a wealth of info and good people. New here myself and feel welcomed like you should. At 15 you have alot of time ahead of you to refine your playing, singing and writing etc. Gotta give you credit for being assertive tho.
Must be local peers for you to connect with? How about a music shop near by? Keep on with your goals and goodluck!! Mike

Hey Tony, the more you practice the better the "muscle memory" will kick in. Believe me, the rest of us are no different than you.We are not magical-just determined. I've been playing a long time and yet there are certain chord fingerings that put a strain on my hand-only because I don't use them much. I need the practice also. Hang tough and you will win. Mike

Hey Wlbaye, great clip! Brings back memories while living in West Virginia and got my first guitar and was learning bluegrass tunes---"Rollin in my sweet babys arms, Rockytop, Foggy Mountain breakdown"etc. We have a fairly good annual bluegrass festival here. Been to Weiser,Id. old time fiddlers contest---lots of fun. I would recommend for any Chordians that haven't been to one of these festivals to check out the wonderful talent, regardless of their personal preferences of genres of music. Mike

Hey all! Really good old tunes you guys-n-gals posted. Makes me want to listen to more oldies.
REMs' song is an awsome song-thanks Bensonp. That song makes one stop and realize no matter how
tough things get-don't give up.     Mike

Hey Lin, I have a woosdstock model Washburn(1980) acou/elec that I like alot. Can't tell you if it sounds better with bone for it came with bone nut and saddle but I feel it probably does. One advantage might be the lack of the little grooves made by the strings on the saddle?? Resonates better also??   Mike

Someday will come and someday will pass,
The inevitable outcome which we can't outlast.
If never we've done or never we've said,
Then someday will win just to find us dead.

Hey Craig58, seriously think about upgrading to a better playing guitar. Maybe one that's not necessarily pretty or scratch free etc., but one that you can play more easily. If you keep at this and have the necessary desire you will upgrade anyway. Be creative in your search for another. Trust me- you'll be glad you did. Another option is to have it looked at professionally and they can determine whether it is feasable to adjust the action. There's only so much that can be done inexpensively to the cheaper models. Hope this helps, I'm sure other Chordians will also help with advice. Good luck and welcome to Chordie!   Mike

Hey Badeye, that was great. Did you go to the next song"San Fran Blues"? Anyway one of the lines in the"Red River Blues was he had to pawn his shoes and while watching the San Fran song the camera closed in on his feet and guess what--no shoes!
