The last time it was 70 F here in Glasgow the dinosaurs were still roaming the earth. Still, it is Sunday so been out at the local having a few beers. Get the tatties and other veg into the ground next week (got an old neighbour who insists on the timing but the last two years have brought good results). The long nights are coming, so good times.

I am not too keen on tribute acts but having said that i went to see the Australian Pink Floyd not that long ago and they played "The Wall" in its entirety. It was a good gig. Obviously not and will never be the real thing but a good 25 quid well spent.

ps  i have a mate whose alter ego is Elvis Prestwick (not to serious but a lot of fun).

There is a great debut album from an english band called Mumford & Sons called "Sigh no more". Its been out for about one year and to my dissapointment there are no songs on Chordie so i can learn some of the songs. Is there any chance of the more experienced members of Chordie to do what they do best and sort this out. I know our members will rise to the occasion.

I only watch the first few episoes of the UK and US versions to get a laugh at the crackpots who think they can sell ten million albums and take over the world. Then it is back to the real world of listening to amazing tunes and struggling to play them.

this has taken me a good while. Top 5? I have had to wrestle with my own mind to come up with these.

1.  "Mother"  Pink floyd

2.  "Moving on up"  Primal Scream

3.  "The drugs dont work"  The Verve

4.  " Fulsom prison blues"  Jonny Cash

5.  " All i want is you"  U2

I could write this again in twenty minutes and it would be different, but for now you cant beat this.

Keep the faith.

I buy and sell commercial catering equipment. Recon mostly. Lots of dirty kitchens in Scotland, at least i know where and where not to go for a meal with my wife. Keep the faith.
