Brad Paisley's song.....
https://youtu.be/UE6iAjEv9dQ
Lyrics
[Verse 1]
I work down at the Pizza Pit
And I drive an old Hyundai
I still live with my mom and dad
I'm 5'3" and overweight
I'm a sci-fi fanatic, mild asthmatic
I've never been to second base
But there's a whole 'nother me you need to see
Go check out MySpace
[Chorus]
'Cause online, I'm out in Hollywood
I'm six-foot-five and I look damn good
I drive a Maserati, I'm a black belt in Karate
And I love a good glass of wine
It turns girls on that I'm mysterious
I tell 'em I don't want nothin' serious
'Cause even on a slow day, I can have a three-way
Chat with two women at one time
I'm so much cooler online
So much cooler online
[Verse 2]
I get home, I kiss my mom
And she fixes me a snack
I head down to my basement bedroom
And fire up my Mac
In real life, the only time I've
Ever even been to L.A
Was when I got the chance with the marchin' band
To play tuba in the Rose Parade
See upcoming country shows
Get tickets for your favorite artists

[Chorus]
But online, I live in Malibu
I've posed for Calvin Klein, I've been in GQ
I'm single and I'm rich
And I got a set of six-pack abs that will blow your mind
It turns girls on that I'm mysterious
I tell 'em I don't want nothin' serious
'Cause even on a slow day, I can have a three-way
Chat with two women at one time
I'm so much cooler online
Yeah, I'm cooler online
[Bridge]
When you got my kinda stats, it's hard to get a date
Let alone a real girlfriend
But I grow another foot and I lose a bunch of weight
Every time I log in
[Chorus]
Online, I'm out in Hollywood
I'm six-foot-five and I look damn good
Even on a slow day, I can have a three-way
Chat with two women at one time
I'm so much cooler online
Yeah, I'm cooler online
I'm so much cooler online
Yeah, I'm cooler online

Sounds great Very nice of you guys to perform for the group assembled there. I am sure it was wonderful for them.
Happy holidays to you and your family.
Jim
Thank you Jan for your kind words
Here's a Christmas song I wrote.

EB,
Have at at it - you can have it.
That was a non-definitive verse - just setting up the reason. I'm sure there are dozens of reasons in many minds that could fill the rest of the song.
Thank you Brian and Peatle
Seems the thread about writer's block got in my head and I figured that maybe in some cases, this might be the reason.
Condolences to Bill and his family. I think of him often. He was the heart and soul of Chordie for many years - I always looked up to him. He gave so much good advice and had a tremendous sense of humor. He was quite aware of his dimentia situation and often commented about it. I even wrote a song about it at his request called " The creek don't run by my cabin no more" I hope he is doing well in the care of his family. Although I never met him in person we exchanged emails and cards often. A true gentleman and wise sage.
Donna was the light of his life - he called her the " Beautiful Dondra!"
Sadness on chordie tonight for Dondra & Bill !!
May peace be with them both.
Graham
I like it as well. Lyrics are spot on !!

That is so .... applicable to probably every young boy ever.
Leave it to imagination as to who was the protagonist ( dad, mom, grandparent sibling......
Nice song -looking forward to hearing it
Jim
p.s.
apparently it is appropriate if it took you this long to finish !
Brian
What I will do is photocopy the pictures and have them color those rather than ruin the book .
Once one starts coloring they are all gonna want to color.
I will send you results.
Did you get my email ?
Jim

Brian
LOL that lead singer looks just like my brother Bob did when he was in HS - seriously - they could be twins.
I will email you a pic of my bro
Gave me a good laugh this morning.
I liked the song too !
Thanks for sharing
Jim
That was very awesome Brian !
So cool they got together.
I agree with Phill - that was exactly what I was thinking.... I will add that the sense of Pride was in there faces ( although it was so naive as all young soldiers seem to be) that they were going to go to war and then come back. It didn't work that way for millions of young men across the years of conflict.
Great song !
Thanks for sharing
Jim
Kiki Jan is gonna neuter you for calling the Uke a silly instrument.
You should probably avoid visiting her ! ![]()
tragic, but hilarious story
it also reminds of the name song from the 60's ....
Brian, Brian, bo Brian, banana fana fo filly, fee fie mo milly, Brian

Well
I think this isn't too shabby..... just a young rocker that thinks
living for today is the only way to go.
