my amps have loops, dont care for them, i would need extra long cords to bring it out to where my mic stand is, all club stages are different, and electricity too. the less wires you have all spread out the better. sometimes we practice with no effects on vocals or guitars, i notice a huge difference.

Bruce Cockburn is very cool! we play alot of FM top 40, some classic rock Journey,Abros, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, all the dance stuff. its just the stuff i like dont make money. still trying to get used to that. round here last call is at 12:30 and you play til one, i usually have a beer a set, we have to pay for them.

1999 Gibson SG Classic bought off ebay for $600 in 2001
replace tuners with Grover Bowties
replace pickups with Seymour Duncan P100 stacked dual coils
replace bridge and stoptail with TonePros tuneomatic set
new Allen Bradly 500k pots, 3 way toggle and heavier gauge wiring
all hrdwr nickle plated brass
this is the guitar of my dreams, people always ask me where i got it. so do you really wreck the guitar if you make it perfect for you, assuming you're never going to sell it

gigins fun, i like it, most of the places we play have house PA so its not that bad, the guys in the band are 10 years younger than me so i play a lot of stuff i dont like, but, they pay me, so.....

when i improv i dont think or even have my eyes open, after you've been playin for so long it just happens, forget theory and scales, play from your heart, altho theory and scales are good.

ive found havin too much between guitar and amp sucks tone, less is more for me. i go wah, overdrive(i use the amps dist) chorus then delay. this works best for me. theres no set way, whatever sounds good to you, like jerome.oneil says, season to taste

i played with those guys since high school, we used to play alot when we were younger but stopped in our early 30's. ive tried to get them to gig at least once every 3 months but they're not into it. just want to jam in the basement. we're still good friends tho
