Topic: Question?

There were 6 new posts on this forum today....all spam. My question is; does anyone read this drivel? As you may know, spam is unsolicited and unpaid advertising. For the most part it's put on by people being paid to slip this garbage into similar websites as ours. I don't know about anyone else but I certainly wouldn't buy any of the dubious products or services they offer. Anyone here who would?

Hi Phill ...

I usually have a quick view to verify if it's SPAM, and then report it. If it's in one of the 3 Forums I moderate, I first move it to the Spam folder, and then ban it. As you suggest, I wouldn't buy one of these products if it was indeed the greatest thing since sliced bread. Understanding that, I don't know why anyone would hire a marketing company to annoy people by spamming discussion forums. Perhaps they're so desperate / gullible, that they actually hope / feel it might work? Pathetic.

Personally, I would not do business with anyone who advertises via a Spam contractor.  It may be the cheapest advertising medium on the Internet, but if you think that it is a good use of your advertising dollar......... you SURE aren't getting any of mine to spend on it !!

Google Business Listings are FREE, and you would get a whole lot better exposure, traffic and commerce by doing that, and spending your $$ on training your employees to give good Customer Service.  Happy Customers that talk about it do a whole lot more for your "bottom line" than the damage done by annoying folks by flooding their "in-boxes" with Spam and drivel.  smile

And because you asked (or not), in another life I was a Marketing Consultant...... for a while anyway.  ;D

you are advertising your own website which means you're spamming as you aren't paying the site owner for your advertising! try asking the owner...Per for permission by email through the admin button. until i'm told otherwise i have banned you from making any further posts .
