A Day In The Life of a Fool  Jack Jones

A [Am]day in the [Dm6]life  [E7-9]      of a [Am]fool; [Dm6]       [E7]

A [Am]sad and a l[Dm7]ong  [G7]   lonely [CM7]day.     [CM7/6]

I walk down the av[Dm7]enue    [G7]
And hope I'll r[CM7]un into [CM7/6]
The welcome s[Dm6]ight of you  [E7]
C[Bm7-5]oming my [E7]way.  [Fdim]         [E7]
I [Am]stop just acr[Dm6]oss  [E7]  from your do[Am]or;  [Dm6]      [E7]
But[A7sus4] you're never [Gdim]home any[Dm]more.[Gdim]       [Dm]
So back to my r[Dm6]oom   [E7]
And there in the gl[Am]oom   [Dm6]
I c[E7]ry   [Bm7-5]       [E7]    tears of good[Am]-bye.[Dm6]     [Am]
Til you c[Dm7]ome back to [Am7]me,
That's the [Dm7]way it will [Am7]be,
Every d[Dm7]ay in the l[Em7]ife of a[Am7] fool.
