A Good Thing Bleu Edmondson
[D] [Dsus2] [D]Bridget was a swee[Dsus]theart, with greek letters around
her neck on a chain
[D] [Dsus2] [D]She wasnâ[Dsus2]t really my type, she was beautiful, and Iâm
G** G G*
Her mind was closed like a liquor store on Sunday,
sheâs trying to make her ex-boyfriend
[G] [Mad] [D] [A] [D] [G]Itâs kinda of a [D]rebound, thatâs OK. Sheâs married
with a kid on the way. And Iâm glad I
[A] [D]didnât stand in the way; of a good thing.
Shelly was a stripper, a damn good mechanic and a
friend. She used to pick me up in her 64 and take me
places, Iâd never been. She drank vodka on the rocks
with a tall glass, chased with cocaine and her teenage
girlfriends. I couldnât phase her, thatâs OK. Now
she livin with a girl named Rene. Last I heard she
was teaching in Frisco, sheâs got a good thing.
Alice was a bartender at a place I used to play for a
while. Some of the girls didnât like her, sheâd get
20 dollar tips with a smile. I used to talk to her,
try to get in her head. Weâd just end up drunk in my
bed. I never knew her, thatâs ok. Sheâs in Vegas
makin 5 bills a day. She said I wasnât too much fun
when I was sober. Now sheâs got a good thing.
So, hereâs to the ladyâ¦whose name it hurts me to say.
Sheâs the perverbial one, that got away. She said
life is all a young girl has, and I canât find mine
while Iâm living yourâs. I donât blame, thatâs OK.
Sheâs married with a kid and a kid on the way. And
Iâm glad I didnât stand in the way, of a good thing.
Yeah, sheâs got a good thing, a good thing.
Oâ¦..ooooohhhhhhhh, O yeahâ¦â¦..Ooooooh ohhhhhâ¦â¦
