"Covenant" is a band from Sweden that has created electronic body music ("EBM"), futurepop, and synth pop since 1986. They have been releasing their music since the early 1990s.
Only three men have ever participated in Covenant as acting members:
* Joakim Montelius - Chief lyrics writer, music, keyboards, computers, and vocal noise.
* Eskil Simonsson - Chief song writer, lyrics, lead vocals, keyboards, and computers.
* Clas Nachmanson - Keyboards, computers, and vocals.
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, electronic music and several of its subgenres became a preferred musical style among European underground culture. It gained favor initially within major cities and eventually trickled into the continent's more socially secluded regions. This new wave of music was discovered at different instances by a group of young friends living among the shadows of Helsingborg, a scenic municipality in southern Sweden.
