Kate Campbell (born October 31, 1961 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American folk singer/songwriter. Her music is strongly influenced by her Southern heritage, as on her most recent album, Blues and Lamentations, which explores the blues and contains a song about Burrell Cannon, a Texas preacher who "almost" invented the airplane. Guy Clark and Maura O'Connell provided guest vocals on the album. Her earlier records include the acoustic album Sing Me Out and the cover album Twang on a Wire.
