Las Ketchup

Las Ketchup is a 4-girl group (previously consisting of three sisters), whose members are Lola, Pilar, Lucía and Rocio Muñoz from Córdoba in Andalucia, Spain. A fourth sister Rocío is the most recent addition to the group. They are the daughters of Juan Muñoz, a flamenco guitarist known as El Tomate (The Tomato).

< Image with unknown copyright status removed: Las Ketchup at The early show, CBS --> In the summer of 2002 they had a major flamenco Europop fusion hit with "Aserejé" (released as "The Ketchup Song" in the UK and other countries), which reached or almost reached the top of the charts in many countries including Spain, the UK, Italy, Greece, France, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Romania, Argentina, Mexico and the U.S. commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The title and part of the lyrics were gibberish. The hit also had an accompanying dance. The sound of the lyrics in the chorus resembled the first few lines of the song Rapper's Delight by the Sugarhill Gang.
