"Mark Anthony Patrick Owen" (born January 27 1972 in the family home in Oldham, Lancashire, England) was a member of the boy band ''Take That''. As a youngster, he dreamt of becoming a professional football player, he had trials for Manchester United, Huddersfield Town, and Rochdale football clubs, but due to serious injury, had no choice but to give up on his dreams.
Mark was educated at the "Holy Rosary Primary" and St Augustine of Canterbury R.C. High School in Oldham. His dream was to become a professional football player, and he had trials for numerous football clubs including Manchester United, Huddersfield Town, and Rochdale. However, Mark had to give up on his dreams due to a serious injury. Mark worked in Zuttis a clothes shop in Oldham for a while, then before joining Take That he worked for Barclays Bank.
After Take That, Mark became the first of all the band's ex-members to release a solo record.
He reached #3 in the UK charts with his debut single "Child". His second single "Clementine"
