Mark Owen

Mark Anthony Patrick Owen (born January 27 1972 in the family home in Oldham, Lancashire, England) was a member of the boy band Take That. As a youngster, he dreamt of becoming a professional football player, he had trials for Manchester United, Huddersfield Town, and Rochdale football clubs, but due to serious injury, had no choice but to give up on his dreams.

==Early life=

Mark was educated at the "Holy Rosary Primary" and St Augustine of Canterbury R.C. High School in Oldham. His dream was to become a professional football player, and he had trials for numerous football clubs including Manchester United, Huddersfield Town, and Rochdale. However, Mark had to give up on his dreams due to a serious injury. Mark worked in Zuttis a clothes shop in Oldham for a while, then before joining Take That he worked for Barclays Bank.

After Take That, Mark became the first of all the band's ex-members to release a solo record. He reached #3 in the UK charts with his debut single "Child". His second single "Clementine" also went to #3. In 1997 his album Green Man was released, charting at a disappointing #33. After ano...
