My American Heart is a rock band hailing from San Diego, CA. They were formally known as No Way Out. During the years as No Way Out, the original line-up, Larry, Jesse, Jeremy, Steven, and Clint, released two EPs: The Courtesy of Stars EP and the Certainly Kills EP. No Way Out gained local fame from the so cal venues they played at. As popularity grew, the band was pressured to play at larger venues farther from home, and thus, forced Clint's decision for leaving the band for the continuation of education. The members of My American Heart still remain close friends with him.The band played the Taste Of Chaos tour in 2005 and shortly afterward recorded the full length album The Meaning In Makeup with famed producer Sal Villanueva (Thursday, Taking Back Sunday) released on punk/indie legend Kevin Lyman's label, Warcon, in fall 2005.
The band flipped their van and trailer while touring in October, 2005.
The band headlined the Ernie Ball stage on the entire Warped Tour in the summer of 2005, and followed with a late fall headlining tour sponsored by MySpace?.
