Paul Rodgers (born on December 17,1949 in Middlesbrough) is a British singer/songwriter. He is known chiefly as a member of the bands Free in the 1960s and Bad Company in the 1970s. He was also a successful solo artist, and collaborated on two albums with Jimmy Page in a band called The Firm in the mid-1980s. In the 1990s, he teamed with ex-Who drummer Kenny Jones and recorded an album as The Law which featured various artists including Bryan Adams, David Gilmour, and Chris Rea. A tribute album to Muddy Waters followed which also featured many guest musicians. In the 2000s, Rodgers has since continued to perform as a successful solo artist, and has toured with Queen in the mid-2000s as Queen + Paul Rodgers.
No other artist has led four bands to global success ("Free", "Bad Company", "The Firm", "The Law") and has created a Grammy-nominated solo career.
