Rhino Bucket was a 1990s heavy metal band that sounded like Bon Scott-era AC/DC, something for which the band made no apologies. Their music was not just an imitation of AC/DC, but more a celebration of an era that many AC/DC fans longed to return to.
The band was formed in 1987 by Georg Dolivo (Guitar and lead vocals), Greg Fields (Guitar), Liam Jason (drums) and Reeve Downes (bass) in Van Nuys, California, USA and released their self-titled debut in 1990. Whilst gaining much acclaim in Europe and the UK they were slated for being a blatant rip-off by many sections of the press at home. Despite this they managed to get one of their tracks, Ride With Yourself, included in the movie "Wayne's World".
Their second album, 1992's Get Used To It, failed to gain the sales of their first album and they were subsequently dropped by their record company. They soldiered on and, in a novel twist, replaced drummer Liam Jason with former AC/DC drummer Simon Wright for their third album Pain in 1994. By now the music world had changed and grunge was taking the music world by storm. It was no surprise then that the album did not do well...
