The band Seaweed was a punk group active throughout the 1990s. They hailed from Tacoma, Washington. In their early days Seaweed was signed to Sub Pop and later released an album on Merge Records. Seaweed's contemporaries during the time of their existence included Samiam, Jawbreaker and tourmates Superchunk and Quicksand. The band released many albums and several singles during their career. They were well-known for their cover of Fleetwood Mac's Go Your Own Way, which appeared in the movie Clerks.
