"Slo Burn" was a short-lived stoner rock band formed in 1996 after the demise of Californian stoner rock outfit Kyuss. They released just one record, an EP entitled ''Amusing the Amazing''. The band was comprised of former Kyuss frontman and vocalist John Garcia (again appearing on vocals), Damon Garrison (bass), Chris Hale (guitar) and Brady Houghton (drums). Slo Burn toured with Ozzfest in 1997 but split up toward the end of the tour.
Slo Burn had a sound not dissimilar to that of Kyuss, which can be attributed to the easily-identifiable voice of John Garcia and the production work Chris Goss did on the EP release. However, the music was more direct and less layered or complex than that of sometimes psychedelic Kyuss.
