"Sugarland" is a country music duo. Originally, the group consisted of three singer/songwriters from the Atlanta area: lead singer Jennifer Nettles along with Kristen Hall, and Kristian Bush. In early 2006 Kristen Hall left the group; Nettles and Bush continue as ''Sugarland'' without her.

All three members were well-known members of Atlanta's folk/acoustic/rock scene in the 1990s and early 2000s. They played frequently at Eddie's Attic in Decatur, Georgia, which Nettles' husband owned for a time. Nettles graduated from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, and played with Soul Miner's Daughter (the name is an allusion to her father's occupation as a minister). Bush played with Billy Pilgrim, and Hall had a solo career that often crossed paths with the Indigo Girls.

Sugarland has received more mainstream national attention than any of the three members had as solo performers.

The group has released five singles, "Baby Girl," "Something More," "Just Might (Make Me Believe)," "Stand Back Up," and "Down In Mississippi (Up To No Good)," which have received extensive radio play, and the group's first album, ''Twice the Speed of Life'', has sold over 2 million copies, ea...
