TLC is an American R&B and hip hop group that formed in 1991. Originally called 2nd Nature, the group was founded in Atlanta, Georgia by Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, and Crystal Jones. Before signing to Records? through a production deal with R&B singer Peri "Pebbles" Reid, the group's name was changed to "TLC", and Crystal Jones was replaced by Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas.
One of the biggest selling female groups of all time, TLC by domestic count is the number one best selling female group with approximately 22 million albums and 7 million singles sold in the United States and 45 million albums and singles sold worldwide.
