The Faders

"The Faders" were a British female pop punk band formed in January 2004 by bassist/keyboardist Toy Valentine and drummer Cherisse Osei. Frontwoman and lead guitarist, Molly Lorenne was later introduced to the band by a mutual friend, completing the lineup.

After signing to Polydor Records, the band released their debut single, "No Sleep Tonight" in March 2005 − reaching No. 13 in the UK Singles Chart.

On Thursday July 6th 2006, news of the band's split was post in their MySpace blog and in their official forum.

All three members have new music-related projects.

The lead singer of the band, Molly Lorenne (real name Molly Ure) was born on 7 March 1987. Her father is Midge Ure of Thin Lizzy and Ultravox fame. Her post-Faders career will be under the name Molly McQueen, starting with a re-recording of The Faders' greatest hit No Sleep Tonight.

Toy Valentine (real name Jade Thirlby), the band's bassist and backing singer is 20 and her birthday is 4 July. She also plays guitar and keyboards. Her father is a renowned blues guit...
