The Mayfield Four

The Mayfield Four (a.k.a. MF4) was a rock band formed in Spokane, Washington in 1996. The band officially split in 2001.

The Mayfield Four was formed in the middle of 1996 in Spokane, Washington by four childhood friends that shared a mutual love for music. They were Myles Kennedy (vocals), Craig Johnson (guitars), Marty Meisner (bass guitar), and Zia Uddin (drums). That year, they recorded a demo called Thirty Two Point Five Hours which caught the attention of Epic Records.

With Epic, they released a live EP called Motion in 1997. In May of the following year they released their first full-length studio album called Fallout. The album was praised by critics, and the band went on a 15-month promotional tour opening for Creed, Everclear and Fuel.

However, the album failed to chart and Johnson left the band (other sources say he was fired. Kennedy just said "we went through a lot of behind-the-scenes changes both personally and professionally"). The band continued as a trio, with Kennedy taking up the guitars.
