Versus is a band which was formed in 1990 by Richard Baluyut, Fontaine Toups and Robert Hale in New York City. Merge Records is Versus' current record label, though they have had a long involvement with Records?.
The band are currently on hiatus, the members having formed other bands in the meantime - James Baluyut and Pat Ramos formed Plus/Minus, Fontaine has formed TFT and Richard operates in Whysall Lane.
