Kate Wolf

Kate Wolf (Kathryn Louise Allen) (January 27 1942 â December 10 1986) was an American folk singer and songwriter.

Born in San Francisco, California, her songs have been recorded by artists such as Nanci Griffith and Emmylou Harris (whose recording of "Love Still Remains" was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1999).

She died in 1986, at age 44, after a long battle with leukemia.

Australian singer-songwriter Eric Bogle wrote Katie and the Dreamtime Land, one of his most popular songs, as a tribute to Wolf.
