The Cmaj7 is a passing chord and is played on the just the fourth beat of the bar i.e. ¦C C C Cmaj7¦Am Am Am Am¦ etc. The Dsus4 chord is played on the first two beats of the bar ¦D D D D¦Dsus4 Dsus4 D D¦.
