Morph the Cat  Donald Fagen

The intro and the first two verses can be played as the
following as tabbed-which may require a certain degree
of co-ordination, or the use of a sequencer to record
the bass line. Throughout the verses it could be played
with the Em and Dm chords over a G bass..or simply with
just a G7 or G9 throughout ( as would be the case in most
commercially released sheet music.) And with any format
such as this, it is recommended one initially play along
with the recording a few times
in order to get the timing down.

High above Manhattan town
What floats and has a shape like that
Fans like us who watch the skies
We know it's the Morph the Cat
Gliding like a big blue cloud
Beyond the park to Sugar Hill
Stops a minute for latte'
He [Em7]oozes down the heating duct
Swims like seaweed down the hall
He briefly digs your wiggy pad
And seeps out through the wall
[Cm6/D]Kind of [Gmaj7/D]like an [D9]arc tic [Em/D]mind bath

What exactly does he want
This Rabelasian puff of smoke
To make you feel all warm and cozy
