More than a feeling   Boston

 			MORE THAN A FEELING

The tab was done by my former teacher Bob Neale. For ease I have tried to
indicate the chords over the tab where applicable. For the chorus rhythm,
as the album jacket reads: Listen to the music!

I woke up this morning and the sun was gone,
Turned on some music to start my day,
And lost myself in a familiar song.
I close my eyes and I

CHORUS:

     G C Em D
It's more than a feeling (more than a feel-ing)
When I hear that old song they used to play.
And I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)

       G C Eb
'Til I see Marianne walk a-way,

---0--------------------------3-----2---0-------------------
I see my Marianne walking away.

So many people have come and gone,
Their faces fade as the years go by;
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun
In the summer sky.

CHORUS

When I'm tired and thinking cold,
I hide in my music, forget the day and
Dream of a girl I used to know
I closed my eyes and she slips away. She slips away

Notes:
For the chorus bar chords sound nice on an acoustic, power chords sound
better on electrics.
The chord changes for the solo are as follows:
/D G /A G /D G /D A /D G /Bm A /D Bm /Em A /G / Fwith / / representing 1 measure.

"F#/D 2 0 0 2 3 2 (real name?)"
You're close. It's one variation of D/F# (or a D with an F# as the root). Normally, though, for D/F#, you would mute the A string, showing it as 2x0232. However, since D contains A anyway (G string fret 2), it doesn't matter. Bottom line: Call it a D/F#.
