Well done Peatle, the video footage was great with your song.  "Take me home bus!"    Enjoyed it and the scenery too, gosh makes you realize how small the roads are on buses through the city lol.  Good bit of guitar playing too by the way.

Wow Jim, what a cry for help this song portrays.  You certainly have touched on the heart of the matter.  Well written.

Interesting lyrics in this one Jim, will be interested to see how this one turns out when performed.

Well done to you Jim and Phill and great collaboration between you both.  A great foot tapping, dancing feel to it.  The video footage with it was great too, was it AI generated Jim?

Nicely done both easybeat and Peatle.   I liked the line "health is wealth" easybeat.  Peatle good line there too re "working twenty four seven,  won't get me a place in heaven".

TIGLJK, thanks for thinking of me regarding writing a poem.  I haven't had much time lately to do anything, let alone write a poem.  Hopefully from next week on, things will start to slow down a bit for me.

A thoughtful poem for sure.

neophytte, nicely performed, a lovely song performed well by you.  Thumbs up from me smile
I performed this song about 6 years ago on Soundcloud, I was trying to play guitar 'again'.   I found when I sang this, I was so focused on the guitar playing and TRYING to get it right that my vocals weren't so good.  I need to get that guitar out again and dust it off.  Trouble is, I get frustrated with the guitar because I can`t seem to nail the F chord on it and I am useless at barr chords.

Grah, a great little song here and made me laugh.  I can imagine you screwing up your face at the thought of being served up Rosmary and Red Onion Sausages lol.  I can imagine a band performing this with a lead singer and then the rest of the band joining in loudly for the chorus.  Well done.

TIGLJK, great bit of writing there and great it came from an actual experience you had.

Peatle, a good bit of writing as well, nicely done.

Peatle, clever idea what you have put together there.  How did you records all the sounds you made vocally and put them all together with your vocals?

Phill, lol very good piece of writing, cleverly written.  And whether we lock up our socks in a wall safe or whatever, I think a missing sock seems to be a universal problem.  Can't for the life of me figure where they go sometimes.

Peatle, sorry to hear you got scammed, they are so clever these days with the tactics they use.  I mostly ignore them these days, with the odd exception, if I feel led to help them out.   An example is one time I was up Cuba Street and I saw a lady sitting and begging with her sign wanting money as she sat there.  She looked pretty messed up and in need of help.  She was sitting outside a diary/small grocery type shop.  So, I asked her if she was hungry to which she replied yes.  So, I said I am not going to give you money but if you come with me into that grocers shop you pick some food and a drink to fill your tummy up with.  So, she followed me into the store, and I let her pick whatever she wanted, which at first, she didn't pick that much (I think she was being polite).  So, I made sure she got more food, once she realized I didn`t mind.  She picked some more items of food and drink, I paid for it and walked out with her to her spot outside.  She was very grateful, and I knew she was going to have something to eat.  I knew if I had given her money, it probably wouldn't have gone on food but other stuff.

Phill, well written, the older people get, yes memories of years past, seem to come back, good and bad.  Hopefully for most the good memories are stronger.  And I think most people would choose to pass peacefully in the bed and in their sleep when their time comes.  Hopefully when their time comes, it is in their very old years and not young years.

Good message Peatle, well done.

easybeat, great humor in your song about Old Men.  I could visualize it quite well lol big_smile  Also, interesting the guitar strum playing with this one, made it interesting.

neophytte, that was great, I liked that one.  Is that one of your originals? Also, the balance was good on this one, i.e  your guitar playing didn't overrule your vocals, so it was easy to hear your vocals this time.  Nicely done.

Peatle, it wouldn't let me comment on Soundcloud for some reason.  Anyway, I remember this one of yours as I remember the piano playing in it which was great and really added to your song.  Great lyrics and message in this one, nicely done.  Was it your Marie playing piano?

Cheers Jan maybe it would be a good discussion to have on chordie everyone's favourite movie tunes.?     I remember," The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain" has done a couple great versions of movie music. The theme from the movie "Shaft" and also "The Good Bad And Ugly" theme.

Good idea Peatle.  I guess the Chat Corner is as good a place as any to start such a discussion.  How about you starting it up on Chat Corner since it was your idea and I agree, I think would be fun.   You could share some of your favourites and other people could join in smile

I love watching The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, they are very clever!  I agree, Shaft and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly were brilliant.  Along with many others they have performed over the years.  That group was originally started up by George Hinchliffe and Kitty Lux back in 1985.  Sadly Kitty passed away in 2017.  She was the one who often wore a scarf in her hair.

Brian, nice one, good lyrics on this song.  Comes across as reflective and content with oneself.  Well done.
On a different note, I have your first book and you have nothing to be embarrassed about it, I would be very pleased with myself if that was my book I had written and published.  Looking forward to purchasing your next book.

Thanks Peatle, anyone else got some suggestions?

Peatle, I listened to this one again tonight and I could just visualize a child saying that to their  Father about the cat going out killing its prey.  Well done, love how you come up with these original ideas for songs.
