Helped to be sure,I was not as unfortunate to suffer a major injury that you did and continued with my learning I kinda picked up the bass naturally since all the root 4th and 5th notes were available on the bottom two strings I did and still do keep it simple when adding a bass to my recordings and R&R when I first started learning to play was pretty much 145 with a 6th thrown in for the doo wop songs much like country easy arrangments and the effects have all been digitized and compacted from the old tape echo boxes and fuzz tones to todays gear smile

Good question Wayne I am only reasoning that a usb connection may offer more quality then a rca jack but is it that much more quality to be worth the extra bucks? perhaps some other member could chime in with additional information smile

Funny stuff Zurf its really simple a chord needs three notes anything else is an interval and it takes a least 3 moves to checkmate lol

talk about a state of confusiion lol

Huh????

Zurf, you must still be in a state of confusion from Russell's post on your Am7/G.

Is a power chord a regular chord? so it can be transposed?

Is this right:

Key of C
Dm E5no3 F G F G A G Bb

Key of D
Em F# G A G A B A C

Makes no diff anyhow, I can't play it either way.

Keep Rockin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AHA!  Am7/G does have the same chord fingering as C/G!

I always thought that C/G was 332010 whereas Am7/G is 302010.

Zurf since Ami is the relative minor of Cmajor both chords share the same notes but a Ami/G is not the same as a C/G, a C major chord is C E G (135) and a Ami is A C E (135) so in a C/G chord your adding the 5th(G) as a root or lowest note in the chord the same with the Ami/G only the G in a Ami chord is the 7th tone in a normal A major chord the G is a G# but making a natural out of it is in line with a minor or dimished (flated 7th) hope this makes some sense smile

The songs would have to be original songs either by the person submitting them or with the permission of the composer to be submitted  in the song writing forum no copy material is allowed smile
