YAY!!!!!! You don't hear too many stories about stuff showing up in the mail months later. Like getting your bag lost at the airport, it's gone and never coming back. Glad it made tho.

Your guitars don't play rock songs, the other guys played rock songs on your guitar. There is no set thing that one guitar is for and another is not.

I'm thinking it is Senor by Dylan. I looked and didn't find a tutorial on youtube, found some covers tho. So do a search on youtube and watch to try to pick out how they are strumming.

YAY!!!!  You know the drill Butch, pics please.

I hear that playing guitar is therapeutic also. Maybe you should take up playing and see if that helps relax you.

I knew an old man a few years ago (he has since passed) that was on lots of medication. He was taking one for blood pressure, I think his for low BP. They ended up taking him off it and he went blind as a bat. Turns out the medication helped in pumping blood to his eyes. WEIRD!!!!

I did a search and found some of these variations:

X4X220

X4X250

X422X0

X422XX

I'm thinking if you want to play it X42220 you'll have to learn to barr a normal A chord with your index finger. Hard to do but maybe not impossible.

Someone shared this a while ago and I just found it again in my bookmarks.

Should give you at least something to play.

For me I first set a max price that I want to spend. Then I go to 2 or 3 guitar stores and play around with some guitars in my price range. I remember the ones I like and then research them on line. I'll also look for those same models used somewhere, ebay, craigslist, etc. Eventually I'll go back in and play the ones I've narrowed it down to. I'll make my pick and try to find it at the cheapest price available. This whole process takes months and months.

I've done the same thing Phil. Washing the inside of a small glass and the thing fell apart. Sliced me length wise on one of my fingers. Nothing major and I didn't play at that time either. So yes there is danger in washing dishes. I say try plastic cups.

In trying to find things to dvr so I can watch them when working out I came across Sun Studio Sessions on PBS. In particular the Delta Blues Experience, 2 episodes. It was blues so you can't go wrong.

During that show there was an ad for Bluegrass Underground. Bluegrass isn't my thing, but the clincher is that these concerts are held in a cave 333 feet below ground. Cool idea, I'll have to watch an episode just to see what it's like.

Good one Badeye!!!

Way back in 2003 John Mellencamp released an album with this song and some other blues songs on Trouble No More. I didn't know at the time that they were old blues covers. Can't beat the originals, but he does a good job.

I've been having the same problem for a long time. Tried diff things but no magic solution. Skateboard grip tape seems to work best so far for me.

I caught a little bit of JB live in Vienna last night on tv. I must  say he is pretty good. I searched hi and low for tabs for the intro licks to this song but came up empty. I found tabs for his plugged in version but it is diff than this acoustic one. The part I'm looking for starts at :23.

Cold smoke, we used do something like that with ice and water in a sink and a cut in half two liter plastic bottle. I don't remember having any trout around at the time tho.

Can't argue with that Russell. 40 years speaks volumes. But what do you do if you live in an extremely dry environment and have no way of controlling humility.

So funny, a typo obviously, but still funny. HUMILITY. Right after Russell says he is a pro.

I forgot to add my 2 cents. I oil my fretboards when changing strings also. I just like to get them clean and nice looking. Lots of gunk on our fingers.  I do believe that if they get too dry they can crack.

That would be hilarious. Wanting a pick form the guy on stage and he flings you a quarter!

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me that will never happen. I will never be able to play that well. I can play some stuff and as the years go by I do get better. But never will they match, my love for guitars and playing and my talent.

That's awesome TF. It looks like a win all around. Hopefully he sticks with it and stays out of trouble.

I have a couple just for the novelty of them. I don't play with them at all. They are solid stiff, like playing with a 2mm pick. I'm sure Baldy is right. They are way harder than your strings so it's gonna tear em up.
