I watched the news yesterday and was stunned to find a jury had found a women guilty of transferring files of a CD she purchased and fined her almost 2 million dollars she knew nothing about it and it looks like her children sent the mp3's to a few friends the "injured party" that won the case is the same people who were responsible for the 2 yr sentences passed on to some website that allowed free downloads of songs the case is being appealed, greedy lawyers 2 common folk 0

I think at the time the Beatles emerged the baby boomers were in there teens Elvis and all the 50's icons laid the ground work the Beatles played early rockabilly music and covered a lot of R&B as well as Little Richard songs in the club dates they were playing and the time was ripe for them, they looked unique they were talented hypnosis had nothing to do with there success I think hysteria comes closer the the phenomena "Beatlemania" smile

Good and bad news, the squire PA was not in stock and I would have to wait 2 weeks to get one or the music store could sell me another brand for around $300.00 so I went shopping on the internet at musicians friend and came across a Phonic Powerpod 410/S710 PA for $199.00 includes shipping and taxes it has the same setup as the Squier including speaker cables and a mic with a mic cable it puts out 80W and peaks at 160 so I snached it up and its on the way this is a link to a photo of it smile

Most of the most important documents including the Declaration of Independence were drafted by a quill pen and ink im sure we can make do for a bit with the "old fashioned" method of writting by hand for a while smile

Pix it takes a little getting used to I should be getting a pedal today or tomorow to control the phrases along with the new PA I ordered I cant wait to hook all of the gear up and run it thru the new PA I pretty much got the ME-50 figured out and the basics of the loop pedal the real trick is going to be making a smooth transistion from one song to another without to much dead air but thats what rehearsals are for and I will not play before an audience till I fee confident of putting on a good show smile

The position of your wrist is critical in forming a bar F and the position of your first finger is the key as alvee has pointed out bring your elbow in towards your body place your first finger on the fret and roll it to the back(left) so its positioned on the side of your finger  this will cause your wrist to move to the right and bring your elbow into the side of your body also try to place your finger directly behind the fret not touching it and work at it till you can hear all 6 strings clear smile

Hi crevs it might get a little tight in my bathroom and I think the reason most people record in a bathroom is the natural reverb sound of being in a small enclosure without anything to absorb the sound like furniture or rugs because they absorb sound its like a empty hall or warehouse there is nothing to absorb the sound and it bounces back,I record in my living room with headphones and I can control the sound going in if I want reverb (delay) or echo (repeat) I can add it later but sometimes I add it at the beginning depending on the song.Reverb and echo are similar in a subway with only concrete walls and flooring there's nothing to absorb the sound but its the same as an empty club when you first do a sound check your volume levels are set but when people jam into the club they absorb sound and the levels are adjusted I guess it all comes down to if you like the sound in a bathroom record there smile

Glad to see you got it sorted out Wayne who made the picture of the band? it looks like a oil painting, kinda charactar painting nice guitars smile

see if this works you have to add at the end and paste the link inbetween just look at the edit I did and do it the same way smile

I liked the song and the arrangement her voice is really nice I would like to hear something that she sings lead vocal on instead of a harmony part,I thought the guitar and lead vocal were up to high in the mix and sometimes the two vocals got in the way of each other and her vocal could have used a bit of reverb not a lot just enough to give it an edge but overall a really nice composition and performance by both vocalist smile

ranthalas everyone progresses at a different rate some catch on quickly others struggle at first but with desire and practice results follow,if you just learn chords and strumming you should be able to play moderately well within 6 to seven months depending on how much time you devote to practice and what your practicing if its reading music from start this will take a few years to really be proficient which is why most newbies opt for a quicker method sort of a fast lane to mediocre guitar playing there's really no secret, hard work pays off no matter what you do in life so its up to you smile

Glad you enjoyed it and you could use a capo and find a comfy range to sing in, the hat was given to me by a friend who I jam with last  year it comes in handy when the sun is out and it looks cool with the silver braid I love it smile

Nice.  That's always been one of my favorite songs.  I tried it a while ago and couldn't get it to where I wanted it.  Figured I need some more skills.  I'm working on getting my left hand to do something more than hold down a chord and I'll get there one day.  I liked your version.  This is a link I'll save and come back to as a "lesson."

Switching gears, I really do love that hat.  It looks like something you could have won in a poker game.

Thanks geo an acoustic album is food for thought I must admit its been a while since I did covers but I just invested several hundred into some new gear to play as a one man show so im gleaning all the cover songs from Chordie that fit my vocal range and style maybe "park bench concerto" of some fancy name lol

Thanks for sharing. Maybe the next album could be an acoustic cover compilation called "From the Bench"?. Well done as always

Shastawolf welcome to Chordie and when it comes down to what kind of case it really depends on what kind of guitar and if you plan on moving around with it a lot like playing gigs then the hard case would offer more protection for the wear and tear but if you are only going to play it at home or relatives a soft case will do its your choice if you have the money to spend buy a hard case it really comes down to choice smile

Thanks a bunch glad ya enjoyed smile
