I am still coughing so haven't entered anything last month or this month.  So tried to write a quick poem of sorts using the word ADORNING in it.  My writing skills are not the best when it comes to poetry or songs for that matter lol but at least it's an attempt and something to enter.  Hopefully my cough will go soon enough for me to be able to perform something soon.

ADORNING

"Hello there, good morning,
how did you sleep?"  he asked as I was yawning.
"Not so good" I replied.  "You kept me awake with your snoring".
"Oh, so sorry, I`m overtired" he said.
"For better or worse in marriage,
says that ring, ADORNING your finger".
We both chuckled as I grabbed the milk and continued pouring.
"What's on your schedule today I asked?"
"I need to go down to the mooring,
the boat needs some new parts which I will be ordering".
"By the looks of the weather warning, it will soon be pouring" he said.
"Oh, thought I would pop out for a bit,
go look at a new rug for the flooring.
This adoring purring cat of ours,
well, he ruined the last one with all his clawing".

easybeat, lol glad that kid wasn't my brother lol.  Clever bit of writing once again, you're a natural at these kid's poems.  Keep them coming.  I hope your saving them and reading them to your grandchildren

Peatle great to see you entering another song of yours.  The lyrics, "Seems like the world is broken", are thoughts many people around the world have been thinking these last few years. Good to see how you put this song together.  Always enjoy the videos you put together with your songs

NIce one Peatle, you seen to be playing your guitar with better movement, you were playing up and down the fret board and looked pain free?  Good topic, I think we all have those times and I for one, love to walk by the sea, go to the beach or go off walking in the woods.  Good soul food.

Grah1, nicely performed by you all.  Good to see your writing skills as well with this one.  You're all looking very relaxed and comfortable as you perform.

neophytte, I agree with Peatle, you can certainly perform a variety of genre`s, a good skill to have.     

On another note, I haven't entered anything yet as I am getting over a cold which has had me coughing.  So hopefully I will be over it before this month's FSOTM ends.

Peatle, that song is very true of people in today's world, old and young.  I am amazed when I am out and about, I often see exactly this situation.  Kinda sad huh?   I especially hate to see this when people are out for dinner or something and they spend all their time on the phone, I think, why bother going out together if you're going to be on your phone.     

Nice Jeff, your another one who seems to be able to keep writing new songs and seems to always have lots to write about.   Thats talent.  Nicey performed.     

easy and Peatle that was great!  Well done you two collaborating on this one.  I liked the simplicity of it and I agree, kids would like that one.
