The problems that I had with Internet Explorer were resolved when I switched to Mozilla Firefox.   I just dont have that many issues as I did with IE.  I recommend switching your browser.  Worked for me.

well here's my two cents on loop pedals, the parts your looping could be played by "real live musicians" and I dont concider it "live" but a repeatative echo of a phrase played once till another "loop" is added I would rather see a guy with a drum strapped to his back with cymbals and a harmonica at least he's not useing an electronic crutch and thats my opinion on looping,it takes a lot more talent to play it "live" without any effects period.

Why? theres nothing wrong with what your doing, and I think the songs of the fifties and sixties were better anyway, so keep doing what your doing its sounds fine to me smile

I have noticed the slower loading times for Chordie after logging in and if you look at the increase in membership over the last few months it has gone from 198,000 to over 224,000 that's over 25,000 new members in little over a 3 month period,I have to believe this has had some effect, how much I'm not sure, but the number of incidences have increased exponentially and coincide with the additional membership smile

Thanks Ark for the info but this has never happened on xp only my vista and im not sure if vista has a task manager but I appreciate the advice smile

Hi Russ
Just a thought you may know. On XP windows if you press Ctrl/Alt/Delete together you get up the Task Manager which will attempt to close unreponsive programs if they are first highlighted and then hit the End Task.
This doesn't always work but it may help to avoid a reboot..

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this phenomena,it has occured more frequently over the last few weeks I am useing IE runnning a vista program and the page will freeze and I have to reboot.I have discussed this with a learned person who repairs PC's and he mentioned that sometimes if there are a large number of users online at the same time on the same site the server can freeze, nothing seems to work the red X is dead as is the back arrow the only way I can escape is to reboot my PC,I have tried firefox and dont like it at all so if anyone else has experienced this I would like to know or is it just me smile

seems like a good idea, next time I need a chord real bad all I have to do is pickup my phone and call for help duh smile

it sounds like you may need a truss rod adjustment I would take it to a music store and ask a pro to look at it first before doing any adjustments yourself smile

Alan a very good first effort, over time you will improve your recording techniques and with that produce better recordings, the one thing I did notice was a popping sound on some words and that can be avoided by not singing directly into the microphone or useing a wind screen to filter out the "B's and "P's and getting a better balance between the volume of your guitar and voice but I think overall you did very well and you will only get better smile

leave the 6th as it is and tune the 5th string to the 2nd tune the 4th to the 1st or 6th raise the 3rd 1/2 step leave the 2nd and 1st the way they are voila!  smile

bud_wiser wrote:

Howdy all....possibly a daft post but I'm putting it up anyway. Basically there's a song I'm dying to learn (Shine by David Gray) and it's apparently played in "Open E" tuning.

According to the guy who's tabbed it, the tuning should be:    E B E G# B E

Now, I'm not sure where to begin with this. I play everything in standard EADGBE and I'm the king of the capo. However I really want to move on and understand hpw to use other tunings.

If anyone can provide an idiots guide on how to retune to this format it'd be much appreciated by this idiot tongue

Guilty as charged. Badeye had put a '[' bracket before soc instead of '{' and this had altered the formatting of every post in this thread.

Badeye. Since my last reply to this I have found that I do like green tea but still not the ordinary stuff with milk and sugar - still like the song though lol
