Well, it should not happen anyway. I still want to know your browser/OS. And approx your screen resolution.
Others are probably also having this problem, and then I can fix it...

OK. Ive had one more report that says the same thing. However I am totally unable to reproduce this myself.
When I log into your account, everything looks fine.
Could you send me a screenshot of what you are seeing?
And tell me what browser you are using? OS + version.
This is most likely very easy to fix, I just need to be able to understand what you are seeing..
Anybody else having problems accessing the songbook?
Now everything should be back to normal.
Please confirm.
Sorry about this.
Ive made a change to the songbook yesterday, and it seems to have broken something. I have logged into your accounts, and the books are there. Nothing is lost. Everything looks OK in Firefox.
However I am unable to test in IE right now (I guessing this is what you are using).
I will have access to IE in a few hours, and will fix it then.
I think I have fixed the problems with overlapping ads on small screens. Please tell me if there are other visual problems.
Cant reproduce you "lost connection"-problem. Anybody else having problems?
I am pretty sure this is related to the name of the song. More specifically the "&". Ill add it to my bug-list.
Try clicking "show edit/publish options". You can delete it here.
upyerkilt, I found the bug that where causing the votes to be wrong.
This should be fixed now, and the voting should be more reliable. There are no longer possible to vote on your own songs, and only one vote for every user.
Please help improving the site by reviewing the songbooks.
I did also notice that the number of songbooks are huge (almost 400). It is starting to become hard to navigate. Any ideas about hoe this could be improved? Categories, filters, anything?
We have a winner. AW32!!
Aw32, please send me your post address (to: <a href="mailto:admin@chordie.com" target="_blank">admin@chordie.com</a>), and you will get a Chordie T-shirt for you brilliant bug report.
I will use a significat amount of the income from T-shirt sales (<a href="http://www.cafepress.com/chordie" target="_blank">http://www.cafepress.com/chordie</a>) to set up prices like this. Buying T-shirts is therefore a brilliant way to support the site.
Sorry about that. This one is now fixed. Could you please retry?
upyerkilt,
I have added a feature that should let you change what songbook you are adding the songs to.
I have enabled it... mainly for testing (It might still be a bit buggy).
Could you try it out?
I am working on your other request as well.
Thanks for the suggestions. Ill look into the songbook voting bug right away. Votes on your own book should be disregarded (thought it was?). Well, Ill fix it. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile">
The last month I have only fixed bugs in Chordie. No new features have been introduced. Now it is time to plan for the next couple of months!
I have several ideas myself, but I really want to hear your opinions. Is there something that irritates you about how Chordie works? How can it be improved? Any features you want? Any bugs you want to be fixed? Now is definately the time to tell me.
This bug is actually on the top of my todo-list.
I would very much appreciate examples of where this is happening (urls).
I have made some changes. I think private messaging should work for everybody now.
Please verify.
The chordpro (also called chopro) format is a common format for typesetting guitar songs.
There are several Windows/Linux programs that are able to render this format. There are also a few webservices/webpages that renders the format.
Thanks.
It might be that the accounts that are opened after the migration to the new system (beginning of Mars 2006), have PM disabled. This would also explain that it is working for my accounts (old accounts).
I need more info from more people here.
Hi Eva,
I am a it sceptical about the legal sides of this. As you point out, I can not host songs. I do not want to open a forum that explicitely encourages people to start song sharing networks.
I can however not stop people from using the private messaging function for this (when I get it to work. There are some error here at the moment).
I will also make it easier to add songs to the index (songs hosted other places).
This is a known bug. I did have a look at it, but was unable to fix it. Strangely it works perfectly from my accounts.
Please report if you get the message about "Private messaging have to be enabled". Then at least I have some sample accounts where it does not work. If you can send private messages, please report that as well.
Report also:
* When did you register
* What browser are you using (does it work if you go to another computer).
Anything else that might be a problem. So far, I have no idea what is causing this.
The change I made, should make it possible to edit one of the songs. There might however be problems if you edit both of the songs.
I found a nice way of doing this.
It will still reset when you go to the songbook etc, but you can now change artists without having to set the filter every time.
Yes, it was a bug. The problem seems to be that you have two versions of this song, stored in different books. Only one of them is edited.
The editing is global (you should not have to edit all songs if you have the same song in several books).
Ive made a change that I think will get around this problem.
I will make it possible to save this to your profile. It might take a few weeks before I am able to do this though...
Thanks a lot. This is now fixed.
Could you verfiy?
