I always hit the recent posts button which has become "Active Posts" in the new layout. I don't know if anyone else can see it but I have a blue line running across the screen at the 4th thread. It says "sticky" right in the middle.
If someone could educate me on how to take a screen shot I will post it.
It was nice while it lasted.
We've had almost 2 weeks of above average winter weather. The snowpack was down to about 6". So of course it decided to snow again. We're looking at 3"-5" by tonight. Much better than the 30" we had from the last storm, but the rodent said we were getting an early spring so I was hoping he was right.
Once the snow is over the temp's are going to plummet. High's in the 20'sF and lows in the single digits by this weekend.
WOW! Someone was busy today.
I logged in this morning and the spam machine was still spitting them out. Tonight? Nice and clean. Looks so much better.
Many thanks to those that made it happen.

I didn't know tubes could be "worn". I thought they either worked or they didn't.
When I was a kid we had tubes in our TV. I remember my dad occasionally taking the back off it when something wasn't working right. While warning me not to touch anything, he would point out a tube that wasn't glowing. He would take it out and then we were off to a store called Tri-State. They had a tube tester. There were dozens of prong configurations on it. Plug the tube in and it would tell you whether it was working right. He usually knew that beforehand but always plugged it in just to be sure. Alongside the tester there was a rack that held hundreds of tubes. He would grab a new one and head home to fix the TV.
Stop by a little more often and have a chat with us.
Stop in and chat now and then Bob. It's a right friendly bunch of folks we have around here.
I thought I had my cache set to dump every time I closed Firefox. I went in and checked and it turns out I did not.
Yes. I can now see the 2 buttons.
So what the heck is going on? There has been a continuous barrage of spam all morning.
I know we've been through this in the past but might it be time to consider a 24 hour waiting period before a new member can make a post?
Or possibly have every post from a new member that has an embedded link to go straight to moderation? I don't know if chordie has that capability but it worked very well on my homesteading forum. Nobody but the mods could see it and we could dump it before it had a chance to show up to the general membership.
If you're not seeing them... try logging out, closing your browser (don't leave any tabs open) then open back up and log back in. If you still aren't seeing them, you may need to clear your browser's cache.
Sorry Amy. I did that last night before I shut down and still don't see either button.
4 pages of spam this morning! All seem to be in the "Other String Instruments" section.
Way too many to try to report individually.
Nope. Nothing there.
But HOLY CRAP!!
Look at "Other Stringed Instruments" There's about 10 new spam messages in there. All made within the last hour.
Sorry Amy. I don't see it/
First I would like to apologize for banning everybody yesterday...
It wasn't long after I reported a spam post that I got the "You have been banned" notice. I saw your initials in the message I received.
Gonna have to give you a new title:
The Maniacal Moderator
Just kidding.
I figured it was a glitch but I sent MKM a text. Turns out I interrupted a play she was attending. Sorry Amy.
When I tried to revisit chordie last night I was told I was banned for unsolisited advertising. I reported the fault and alls well now. Anyone else had any probs?
Yep. Apparently there were hundreds of people banned in one quick click of the mouse; myself included.
First time I've ever been banned from a forum.
Yep. That's how I found mine.
I just finished reading that and watching the video clip. An 1870's Martin on loan from the Martin Museum.
There's also lots of internet buzz that the director intentionally allowed Russell to use the real thing to get a better reaction from the girl that was playing it. Rumor is; everyone on the set new it was a museum piece except Russell.
The bugs are still being worked out of the system.
Patience Grasshopper.
Hi Briguy
Probably not. chordie was moved to a new server yesterday and the admin is working out some bugs. Have patience. I'm sure they'll get it worked out.
I just noticed there is no "report" button either.
I didn't follow the link but this appears to be spam.

Sorry Roger. I didn't see this. It didn't show up in "New Posts"
I noticed a couple things.
1) There is no edit or quote button.
2) There is no time stamp on posts.
Don't know if this is the new normal so I thought I'd pass it along.
OK. I found my songbook.
Something else I noticed. There doesn't appear to be any way to quote someones post.
I also see there is no edit function for a post.
I'll need to read closely before I hit the reply button.
I see that my songbook isn't here anymore.
Is this part of the changeover that hasn't been completed yet or will I need to make a new one?
