And I have your empty cookie container. Although I'm holding it hostage. I will release it when there is a full one to take it's place. smile

I'm still pondering Jim's offer of another weekend in the spring while I explore other- more local options.

If the admin should decide to use the photo of me that you posted for the campfire section, I'm OK with that. I will forego the millions in ad revenue it will surly generate.  lol

So l supose I'd better put a couple of greatful dead songs into the set? Any suggestions ,last time i saw em was 1972 at the Bickershaw festival in the UK  a couple of years ago I got a set of live recordings of their set from that gig but there at home in Greece and not with me in the UK

Might I suggest Jack-A Roe. Simple 4 chord progression.

The lyrics are in my songbook. Although whoever put it together didn't separate the versus.

If you prefer something more complex there's this.

And this was always a favorite of mine for a closer. From one of the scores of shows I attended.

any way we can upgrade to just upload pics like on FB?

I missed this first time around.

I have no idea what would be involved but while there is an overhaul in progress, being able to upload attachments like pics and videos would be a great new feature.

is it just me or does anyone else see a faint resemblance to jerry Garcia in the bottom picture?????????

I did but I figured folks didn't want to hear any more of my obsession with all things Grateful Dead. smile

Graham's hair isn't as wild and his beard is trimmed short but the resemblance is certainly there.

OK so this was a total impulse buy and ill has to explain it later to the Mrs.  But I decided to go with the beg for mercy later route! LOLOL

As you guys know I’m sitting in Everett Washington, Its Sat after turkey day. I want to get out and do something.  So I decide the SG needs a set up since its been 7 yrs and I have noticed a few annoying things lately.  Found a local music store that’s been around a while and has a few other stores around.  9 min from hotel,, very nice.

I drop it off and make mistake of looking around.  LOLOL.  I look on the wall, and I heard a little whimper,,, and damn if this did not follow me home!

And one with the new RP500

Yep it’s a Squire, but look at that color! and it plays really nice, and i have 30 days to take it in for a free set up on a new guitar purchas from them.   Man it called me back 2 times and the HSS set up is just great! It also had a 20% off sale on one item so it was only 140 and I bought the cheapest gig bag at 33 bucks and its pretty stout.  So yes Im pretty happy and Merry Christmas to me. (not posting on FB so wife wont know! LOL not till I break it in on her as a great deal after Christmas lol, and I pay it off on my card LOL)

I would like to point out that this NGD is my first in at least 7 yrs.  My  Ovation was a inherited ngd and the rest have been for one of the boys or the other.

I'll have a go at it.

OK. Thinking about it this way, I do have one that I'm very selective about who picks it up. My 1946 Epi Broadway.

Yeah. I've never denied anyone the use of one of my guitars unless they were stumbling down drunk. And back in the day, it did happen on more than one occasion.

Type in the name of a song. The song will play and the chord changes will be displayed in diagram form on the right. there is also a scroll marking when to change chords that rolls along the bottom.

I typed in a few somewhat popular songs, some that never made it very far and a couple really obscure ones. They were all there.

One thing I did notice; if it's a more complex song the program turns it into a "made easy" arrangement. Pretty cool though. You can even create your own songbook the same way you can at chordie. But you'll need to create an account for that.

I'm sure there are many that I missed but I'm a bit reluctant to just start dropping people onto the map.  Some folks are a little leery of having their location out there for anyone to see even if it is just a general location.

When I stop in to chordie I always scroll down to the bottom of the index page and hit "Show recent posts". For the last few days I've been getting this error message:

Just thought the admin would want to know about this.

Yeah. Right now the eastern 1/3 of the US seems to be dominating. But when you consider land area in relation to the number of pins, New Zealand is on top.

My brother took up the bass this past spring. He said that if you know your scales it's a pretty easy transition.

She used to encourage me to feed my desires. Now that I have 11 guitars, 2 mandolins, 2 amps and a set of congas, I usually get "that look" if I find something that really catches my eye. And right now it's a buyers market out there so I seem to get that look fairly often. roll Especially after the last one I got just before "chordie Pa". It's an Alvarez 50th anniversary Grateful Dead model. It plays and sounds nice but I really bought it for the novelty and to use as a wall hanger. They were asking $400 when they came out back in April/May. I found one on CL in September for $200 so I grabbed it.
