I don't think any of the players that have been proven to have taken steroids should ever even be allowed to visit the hall of fame, it's time to clean house in sports, just my opinion.

not questioning your knowledge, just wanting it right so bad, oh and yes your right about our home states playing each other for the Championship Monday night, but I'm pulling for yours to win. Here in North Carolina most people are either Duke Fans, or Carolina fans, I'm a Duke fan, it's an unwritten law here in North Carolina not to pull for the other team, so go Spartans! Thanks again for all your help Aabb. Also, from that link you can click on thier other albums, listen to the song "Guitars Picking and Fiddles playing" as well  as other songs Willard who use to bein the band helped me with them I've seen this band maybe 60 times from the early 70's to now, Willard chorded out several other sons there for me, give them a look if you like them, I wish some way I could get them here on Chordie. again thanks for all of everyones help

Guitarpix,

Well it's halftime of the Villanova/ Carolina game, your Tarheels are looking pretty good, they're up by 10.

I'd have to agree with Russel and the others about Bonnie Raitt, she's great singing as well as playing her slide guitar, she has a unique voice. Russel, The name of the John Prine song she sang was called "Angel from Montgomery" I was lucky enough to see them at the same outdoor concert back in 1976 in Galax Virginia, as well as many others there, it was a 3 day outdoor event great fun in the mountains of Virginia.

Hi Wilbaye and KajiMa,

I appreciate all your help, KajiMa, I'm sorry your link dosen't work, it showing on my post that it does, if you go to Myspace.com and type in Goose Creek Symphony you'll find it. Wilbaye, I know that the chords of D G  C C G are used in the riff in that order, I just can't figure out the picking part. I know it's in that order from a guy who use to play in that band,  he gave me the chords to it from their website. After years of searching for any of the written music with no luck, there is none, I finally hooked up with Willard who use to be in the band he gave me chords to several of their songs. So just from knowing their songs I can play them easier of course, but just having trouble with the opening riff. He hasn't been on thier website lately so I can't talk to him about it. Wilbaye, KajiMa, Russel, Guitarpix, or anyone can figure it out for me I would be eternally grateful, but just wanted to thank you guys for the time you've already spent on it!

Hey SouthPaw41L,

I'm curious as to why you'd say "don't do it, I beg of you" am I missing something here? Did something just shoot over my head or what?

I grow tomato's cucumbers, and squash, also I love working in the yard, it's like therapy to me, growing flowers, just gardening in general, I build bird houses, and little things to decorate the yard. I live in the country, and at night, I like building a fire, close to a rock patio I build, have a drink or two and play my guitar, my beautiful wife and I really enjoy it.

I see people on youtube with these musical backing tracks without the guitar, I'm assuming,... just where do people get these? or am I wrong about the guitar being added and everyone is just playing over it.

Welcome aboard Kajima,

It's always great to have someone aboard who is so schooled as yourself, us beginners are always looking for tips, hints and tricks from, so as old man Darlin use to say "just jump in and hang on"

My first song that I learned to play was Paradise by John Prine, although it's my version of his song, hope that counts.

Well, I can say now that I have gotten use to the sound of the Elixir strings, but what I like best is they seem to stay in tune much longer than any others I've tried. I'm going to experiment with other strings maybe next I'll take Sonsterman's advice and try the D'addario EXP strings.

Hi bswyers,

Well, I'd love to see those to make it far enough to play each other, but I'm worried about Duke getting past Villanova, they looked great over the weekend, I'm a huge Duke fan but I have to be honest about it, I don't think they're in the running this year for a championship, bu..it could happen!

Topdown,

Loved Jimmy V, and you're right, it hasn't been the same without him, I even read his book he had out way back then, the name of the book  escapes me right now, but I remember it was great reading.

GuitarPix, I think Carolina has a great chance of winning it all, "unfortunately" as long as Ty Lawson can stay healthy, without him I think they're doomed

There are some teams such as Memphis, Uconn, even Villanova that has monsters on their teams I think Duke takes the reins back next year as the ACC'S dominate team however, but as long as they're in there I hoping it can happen this year..."ala" NC State in 83, right Topdown!

Hi Everyone,

I know not everyone on here is a basketball fan but the NCAA's are in full swing, being from North Carolina we live in the hotbed of College basketball, I'm a huge Duke fan, most people here are Tarheel fans. I't a huge rivalry, between Duke and Carolina, some call it the biggest in sports, at least in in the USA. Anyway, just wondered who your team is for those interested, as I said I'm a Duke fan, though I don't really expect them to win it all this year, but were still in it for now!
