Sorry!  Tech support was on strike earlier. They're back in action!  ha ha!

Can't wait to hear the sound files when he gets them to you.  Don't forget, you can always try out the free file options from Google smile  OR grab some photos and those sound files play with your new movie software (see your email for clarification).  big_smile

I see seven videos so far.  I keep coming back every day...   no rush though.  I know it'll take some time to get them all up there!  Who had the sound recorder?  I wonder if they got any good recordings compared to the videos!  I was going to set mine up, but then realized I forgot the batteries.  I'm always forgetting something, at least it wasn't my mind this time!  Ha ha!

Gotta say it again, it was great. I'm still in awe over what a nice laid back weekend it was, and Joe is an excellent host!

Here's my Folder with Full size pictures:  https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share … _link_copy
If you visit that link, you'll also see some awesome Fall Foliage from PA and NY - we had a five hour drive so I had lots of time to snap away!  There's a pic of the stream out back of UJB's Camp in there too.  wink

We had an AMAZING time!  We showed up late Friday night (way later than we thought due to mekidsdad working later than planned) but were welcomed with open arms, even though we weren't driving the pregnant rollerskate!  Zurf was also delayed along the way, but he had a slightly different excuse.  wink  The music was FANTASTIC and, as tends to happen at Chordie Gatherings, the good times were plenty! Naomi (Bill's lady) had plenty of interesting stories and just REAL LIFE wisdom; I didn't tire of chatting with her all weekend.  It was nice to no be the only gal around, although the other's didn't play guitar, they all sang along.  Lorraine really completed the group with her percussion, and mekidskid had a blast helping.  I'm sorry to say, I only grabbed a couple quick videos.  I was having too much fun to hold the camera all night.  I think Doug may have gotten some good ones though!  We learned that cast iron pans can crack.  Joe and Bill are proof that men can cook (OMG - the pork was to die for) - and never believe someone that says they'll only eat ONE cookie!  I joked quite a bit about the "Dead being Dead" but I think this weekend I was proven wrong... they do in fact live on... in South PA!  The three tenors - my word do they play well together! Each one compliments the other, but as it turns out they can each hold their own as well.  Pete was so soft spoken and played so quietly, but WOW.  And then Scott with his sparkly blue machine, was a mad man with his fills and solos.  While Mekidsdad had a blast playing along with them, he had a hard time "following that" - I got my orders for the next Jam as well,  I'm not allowed to sit next to Zurf anymore.  Ha Ha!  His singing is coming along great, and it was so good to see him again!  It's been too long, and we DO need to do more Skype Jams!  Met some really great people that I won't soon forget.  AGAIN - Thank you soooo much to Joe for inviting us, making room for the family, and just for a great weekend!  Mekidskid had a fantastic time.  Mekidsdad is ready to help out in the Spring if you'd like the help.  I'll bring along blondie next time too!

Glad everyone enjoyed the photos - especially those that were unable to see it!  Yup, Roger is pretty good at encouraging people by just being his awesome self.  smile  BTW - Kate goes around all the time talking about "bits" of things now, ever since you saved her the "best bit" of your shrimp.  big_smile

So... years ago, when Jim and I first got together, I found he had held onto his Dad's old SLR Film camera with all the different lenses and filters.  I played around with it for a while and learned little bit how to take pictures adjusting all the different settings.  Then the camera got bunked up, and I switched to a point and shoot digital.  I used one of those for quite a few years, and missed being able to take nice photos.  They're convenient to toss in a purse and take along, but just not quite IT.  Then, after Roger and I were chatting for a while about different random things, he introduced me to to this cool group of people that take lots of nature photos.  The purpose was so my little one - who ADORES nature - could view the pictures.  Little did Roger know, I once upon a time adored taking pictures.  It was a recipe for change...

Next thing you know, I had to get a new Digital SLR camera.  HAD TO!  It's his fault.

Then he came to visit for the Backyard Gathering and brought along a telephoto lens...  Jim decided I needed to have one (instead of a new guitar or additional gear) as an anniversary present.  Again, all Roger's fault.

AND SO... I present to you, the Super Moon Lunar Eclipse.  I should probably dedicate these to Roger, since it's all his fault.  wink

This addiction is nearly as bad as guitar addictions, and I'm loving it.  On the other hand, when Roger showed up... he also gifted me with an ELECTRIC GUITAR!  So, don't feel too bad for me getting a lens rather than a guitar for the anniversary!  Yes, I've been holding onto this little secret for over a month now.  It's a BEAUTY too!  I'm very intimidated by it, however.  I don't know any scales.  I just finger pick chords, or strum them.  So... I have a long way to go before I feel I will really be able to play it!  I'm reserving an official NGD post until I feel more deserving.   I'll be a closet electric guitar player for a little while.  I feel like I've joined some secret club ... time to step it up and learn how to play!  It's a different beast than my woody Mahogany, that's for sure!  I'm enjoying my time with the "Black Beauty" and am proud to say that I know it's a good guitar and set up properly because I know where it came from and the person that set it up!  THANK YOU again Roger... just remember when the first video shows up, it's all Roger's fault!

DE - sorry we'll miss you!

Paul - boooo!  Stupid healthcare system!  If magic happens and plans change, let us know. We'll save a spot for ya in the back seat with the kids!  wink

Zurf - I'll look into it!  I've found the Sweet Rose, and one of the not as sweet ones (can't think of the name) in the box before.  Not sure about the Goat though.  If I find it, I'll grab it!  If not, well then I'll just have to see what else I can find.  smile

Joe - Jim's been starting to harass me for the exact address.  LOL!  Looking forward to getting away for a weekend with no ability to do work related stuff!

The rest of ya - that's right, Amy's making her famous cookies.  I'll take a picture for you.  tongue

Damage to the heart and not feeling well are not good signs.  I hope the test results turn up decent news, and nothing too serious. In the meantime, absolutely stay away from rap.  It gives me anxiety and heart palpitations (in a bad way) just hearing it. Let us know what the doc's say.  Good vibes coming your way!

Hey Dino!  You're trying to get there how?  From the index page, the links on the very bottom?  Are you using a computer or a mobile device?

For a computer, clearing the browser's cache will probably do the trick.  This page has instructions on how to do that from just about every possible browser. When you open the link up, click the type of browser you're using at the top and it'll take you to the appropriate directions:  http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache

Sorry guys!  I guess my details weren't detailed enough, or were too detailed! Let me try again.  When using an Android device, and you have ads covering the page, the best thing to do is use the Mobile Firefox Browser.  Here's some detailed directions with photos on how to download the app and request the desktop site to view Chordie as you would on your computer!  (edited to change non-working img to links for viewing

Android Only (I don't believe Firefox is available for iOS) -

Step 1: Download and install "Firefox Browser" for Mobile devices from the Google Play Store
(or come to the forums on your mobile device and click on this link to download it if you're not sure how to search the Google Play Store - when you click the link if you get an option to open in the browser or open in the store, choose to open in the store:  https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta … &hl=en )
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4zaa7 … sp=sharing

Step 2: Open your new Firefox App once it's installed (The first time it opens it gives you an option to Sign in, just click the "start browsing" under that big orange button.  No need to sign in.  This just allows you to sync your favorites between your phone/tablet/computer/etc ... all the devices you use Firefox on, which you probably don't need to do if you need to read these directions.  smile )
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4zaa7 … sp=sharing

Step 3: Turn Device to Landscape mode (physically turn your device so the short ends are on the left and right and the long sides are at the top and bottom). Navigate to a page on Chordie that usually has ads covering the page.  If the ads are there and covering the page still, continue to Step 4.  If the ads are not in the way, CHEER!  They aren't in the way on my phone.

Step 4: Tap the Menu button (either below the screen on some devices or at the top-right corner of the browser - in my example, it is those three dots in the upper right hand corner).  Select the "Request Desktop Site" checkbox (you may need to tap "More" first if you don't see "Request Desktop Site" - this is likely if you end up with an older version of Firefox than I have just downloaded which is possible if you're using an older device that doesn't support the newest version of Firefox).
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4zaa7 … sp=sharing

Step 5: The website reloads and appears as it would on your desktop. If the problem shows up again after navigating to a new page, repeat Step 4

Did that help?  big_smile

Clicking on the ad doesn't work with Android, I can confirm that.  Please do check out some of the Suggestions I put out there which Doug has linked to Keepitreal, you should be able to find one that works for you (I suggest firefox and desktop mode)!

Ark, I didn't realize that you could get the ads to move out of the way on iOS, since it doesn't work on Android that way.  That's good news!  As I understand it, even if "view in desktop mode" did work on Safari, it would only work on the one page you are on - just like removing the ad - as soon as you go to a new page you'd be back in mobile view.  Safari is finicky that way.

humph... I know Admin was working on that, but for some reason I thought this option was a good work around for Safari.  I'm sorry.  Looks like I may have forgotten/missed the talks about the work around not working for you Ark.  Like android/chrome... it probably depends on the version you're using though.

I found that since my phone updated to the latest android version, chrome also updated as well, and now chrome works well with the site again on mobile (and my older android tablet still has ads covering pages and such unless I use the Firefox mobile browser, sadly not available for IOS).  So, I'm guessing IOS and Safari versions may be similar in their capabilities.

I don't know how Apple releases it's updates, maybe your device doesn't have an update available for whatever reason (like I said, mine JUST updated to an OS that's been out for a while and then everything got better).  So, for John (or anyone that hasn't yet) I suggest to check!

1. make sure your IOS is up to date (you won't likely get a newer version of safari without the updated version of IOS).
2. make sure Safari browser is up to date
3. If viewing the desktop version still doesn't work, try a different browser - Chrome for mobile may work through this issue, or maybe Opera Mini, or Dolphin ???

It sounds like desktop version isn't working properly in Safari (like it wasn't in Chrome).  There's got to be a browser that will work around that.  I wish I had an iPad here to tinker with myself!  That's a stinker.  I know how handy tablets/iPads can be.  I used mine exclusively for a few years before getting a laptop - hardly ever touched the old desktop.  Good luck!

If anyone does find a browser that successfully gets around this issue, let us know in here PLEASE!

Well, that'll do it.  smile  There's supposed to be ads there.  You blocked em.  Now you're getting blank space where they should be, and you're probably looking at the page all screwy from what it *should look like too.

Well... here's a youtube link to anyone curious what this might sound like (maybe?):  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrBQs6GF7mE

And a search brought up riffstation.  I found the same video shows chords to this are: F Gm AM C7 Dm Bbm

If you click on the title of the song, it shows the video and chords played along with it (which are more than written above): http://play.riffstation.com/?v=PrBQs6GF7mE

Obviously you're looking for something that's just guitar... but it appears there's a lot of info available if you search.  I received a TON of google results (including sheet music).  smile

I will take a stab at this one... it sounds to me like you're using the mobile version of the website on your iPad. Not all functions are available in the mobile version of the site.  By viewing the "desktop" version of the site on your mobile device, you should be able to see all options available (like the print button).  I'm not sure how iPad print functions work (being an android user) - but try this, you should at least be able to get to the print function of the site once you do:

SAFARI - Open Safari and visit the website. Once it’s finished loading, tap the address bar at the top of the screen to see your bookmarks and most visited sites. Next, swipe the entire panel down with your finger and you’ll see two options appear under the address field: Add to Favorites and Request Desktop Site. Tap the latter button (request desktop site) and Safari will re-load the desktop version of the site for you to enjoy.

There's additional information here.  Although it may not all pertain to your specific situation, some of the info may be helpful or interesting to read:  http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=28070
