I like it !
Being history teacher it was even more fascinating. I love songs that illuminate the human struggle, and how simple lives should be honored as great contributors as well as the rich that men tht got all the credit.
Well done my friend.
Jim
PS - I love the dinosaur shirt. !!
Thanks ...
Classical Guitar wrote:Neo I do not think it is the same. The Fender Polish is not combustible and the polish you are using is marked as Combustible which means it is not made in the same factory. By the way finder also sells a microfiber cloth for their polish. The polish you listed most likely has linseed oil if it is supposed to be mixed before it is used.
True - I didn't notice that ... I'll have to have a look on the bottle to see what it consists of; I bought it from the John Mann shop to increase my purchase to get free postage (if I remember correctly), as postage to Australia from the USA seems to have grown dramatically over the last few years ....
I use the PRS equivalent: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail … tar-polish
Better? Worse? Probably made in the same factory ...
Welcome back for you brief visit - hope all is OK at your end ...
Didn't we do a FSOTM on this subject??
[EDIT] Here it is: https://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=34652
My cover: https://youtu.be/DIE7bO-BLfs
A song by Ralph McTell: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralph_McTell
Released on the "Streets..." album: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streets...
And a recording he made of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NT08VzrXMQ
Couldn't find out much more about it ....
Enjoy!

Nice, left a comment on SC ...
Looks like I've missed the first 61, maybe next year I'll watch it - but why stop when I'm on a winning streak .. ??

Thanks!
Nice work - times have been hard for us and I'm itching to get a holiday ...
Tenement Funster wrote:That's really well done, Neo ... you've got a great flowing guitar style and really good voice. For what it's worth, you probably didn't need as much reverb on the vocals. I loved your "No whistling" comment ... good stuff, buddy!
Thank you.
I'm using a single mic to pick everything up, so the reverb for the guitar is also the reverb for the vocals. Sometimes I get a good balance and sometimes not ... still experimenting

LOL - the conundrum of success!!

Phill Williams wrote:I also don't know who made that statement, but I like it.
Thanks - I haven't had the opportunity to use it for a while (and wasn't implying EB is a fool ...
)
I can't remember the exact saying, nor who said it, but it's something like "It's better to be a fool among kings than a king amonst fools" ....
Cheers
Richard
Thanks - it's interesting to strip down the "synth pop" songs of the 80's and see how they hold up; unfortunately I can't do the french vocal bits, as it was kind of the highlight of the song ....
But glad you liked it!!
Cheers

Peatle Jville wrote:you are right it is the guitar you have asked about. Neals guitar is not a stock standard it is made for him as he has a deal with them to promote their guitars,
Ah yea, they usually make 'special' guitars for the promoters of the brand ...
Phill Williams wrote:i have recorded it and it lasts just a minute and a half. i shall post it when time allows.
Look forward to the recording ...
Thanks for letting us know; and thanks for wishing him the best from all of us ...
Hope Lindsey gets better soon ... !!
