Well you're doing great. Keep it up.  I used to want to sound just like the original, then realized that is not the right thing to do.  And it makes it harder to get it right.  Now I justy listen to the original a few times, then find as many covers as I can on YouTube and go from there.  It is much easier to learn from a cover song.  Then you can make it your own.

At one time somebody on here referenced a site where you could store your own chordpro formatted songs, so I went there, purchased it for not alot of money and have been pleased with it every since.  It is called Songbook by a company called Linkesoft.  It is a wonderful addition for keeping music I want to have on hand quickly.  I have a version of it on my laptop as well so all of my songs can go with me, even if there is no internet.  They let you start out with a free version to see what you think; it just doesn't hold may songs and then you have to pay a small one time fee for it.  Check it out to see if it gives you what you want.  I think it is the answer to your question.

I agree with this one buddy.  I have been talking about Linkesoft for a long time.  I have used it for years and I love it.  I even tried to hook up Linkesoft with Chordie so they could advertize here on Chordie, but I can't seem to get them to talk.

I watched several of your videos and I have to say.  You are doing really good for two years into it.  Keep up the practice.

It's been a while since I shared a cover.  Crank it up.

Stupidity has been epidemic in my life, but I would rather not share those moments. At least for most of us, the good thing is, that right after we apply the stupid moment, we realize right away that that sure was a stupid thing to do.  That's what sets us apart from primal stupidity and we never do it again, until the next time.  I have never been a fan of stupidity, but it happens to the best of us.

Mine both have sitka spruce top and indian rosewood back and sides.  I will also get a mahogany next time

Life is catching up with you buddy.  I hate when that happens.  Good luck with anything else that can go bad.

I also served during that time. 69-72.  Thanking vets back then was almost unheard of. I don't think I was ever thanked until recently when I was wearing my US Army T-shirt.  It is nice that the world has finally come around to thanking people who have served. Thanks for serving your country Rick.

I like it Phil, but I'm afraid you'll get a lot of grief from many on your point of view. NRA folks seem to feel threatened over the smallest details.

This sounds like fun. Sure wish I could go.

Just let us know which songs you picked out and how you are doing.

Happy birthday amy.  Get another Martin.

If you like old classic ciountry, almost anything is good to start with.  Most of the old country have easy chords.  Take youe pick.

I know my compter has slowed down considerably and does wierd stuff all the time.  I will get a new computer this next year sometime and probably have to settle for Windows 8 also.  That's technology.  I would go Mac but for the cost.  I can buy a nice guitar for the cost of a good Mac. probably.
