Thank you Russell. That sounds like a good direction to find what I am looking for. Your Roland Boss BR-8, sounds like something I would be looking for. A digital recorder with pre-set vocal enhancing software. I just started to read about Vocoder and some plug-ins  in the Audacity program I have. I didn't read too far into it but, it sounded like it would have a wide range of customizing vocals. I'm not sure.I need to read up on it more.Do you know anything about Vocoder?

I dont have any info on Vocoder I still feel it is better to enhance as you record not after only because it effects how you phrase the song

What do I need to customize or tweak my vocals? I am new to using audio software or VST for recording myself. I have had Audacity for years but used it for other purposes. There is one area that I need help with. On some songs I would like to be able to enhance my vocals. Different ways for different songs.Raspy or rougher to softer or smoother. I can do most on my own but would like to know if there is an effect or combination of effects to help produce the sound I am looking for at that time. Can anyone help?

I think the best way to enhance any vocals is at the point of recording, there are several hardware vocal enhancers available most of them are incorporated into the recorders an example would be my Roland Boss BR-8 it has a library of vocal effects all the enhancing is done pre production or as it is recorded just type in your search "vocal enhancers" hardware I am sure you will find what you are looking for.

Ditto,I hate rap and hip hop. I love your line about fade in the air Russell.

I have seen most of your videos Russ and you get some great results. I thought that the software you used would be far more expensive so I will look into that.

If they came from Guitar Fetish usually they include instructions with a diagram but if there both equally the same it really dont matter, I say this because usually the bridge pickup has a higher number then the neck. When I put Texas coils in my strat the neck was 4 the mid was 5 and the bridge was 6 I think it refers to the treble output and the higher the number the closer to the bridge it will be installed.

Glad you enjoyed, When I 1st seen a demo of this I knew I was going to get it I am working on the tones for "walk of Life' (it has them) the lick is fairly simple to play just have to dial in the right tones then add the other instruments and vocals. smile

That pedal is rad.

BGD I am cooking up some new green screen vids and I love the sounds in the pedal there all presets but you can alter them just have to work with it a bit like any new gear smile

Hey my friend!

Just travelling along the "Harding Video Trail" and I found your site, but I keep getting the above message on stuff in which you are featured.

"The Klingon National Anthem". for example, is one of those.

Pretty much all I saw was "Rock Island Line" which you and I both like, and the guy demonstrating the memory cable, on which I left a few comments.

I'd really like to see more of your playing.:)

Thanks!

Bill

I deleted this song it was a fluke product of my video program that rendered it backward (audio and video) I uploaded it because at the time it was funny to me smile

Glad ya enjoyed Jim and my name is Russell lol I usually get a hour or two each day of practice to keep fluid in my execution nothing in particular I just find a sequence of notes that is hard to play and go over it till it is smooth it is amazing what improvements a steady diet of practice can accomplish smile
