Can't believe I forgot this one, a Japanese Shamisen. It's sorta like a guitar.

Wow what a question!!!!

You have to go with your Beethoven or Mozart, Elvis, The Beatles, Robert Johnson, Funk Brothers, Black Sabbath, Nirvana (as much as I hate to put them on this list), and looks like Lady Gaga is labeled as such.

So many influential artists throughout history.

Like Baldy and Pete I have issues getting on to Chordie quite often  also. Lots of times Chordie.com won't load so I will add /forum and it comes right up. Other times nothing works so I just keep checking back. If it were my e-mail then I would be upset but Chordie isn't a daily  "necessity".

I've played a Yairi once. I have no idea of year or model. It had the tree of life inlay. It was very easy to play and sounded awesome. I found it in a garage of one of my customers that had just moved, no one was home so I took a look and a strum or two.

That was awesome Toots!!!!! I want to see you do that on a tuba.

Uh, Joey, I think you need to get out and enjoy the sunshine a little more.:P

My bond depends on how I play that particular day. If I'm flubbing everything then I blame it on the guitar. If I'm playing good then it's my baby. It's sorta like blaming things on the dogs or kids.

Nice find Zurf!!!! But you know how it works. And if the law ok's it then you still have a six hour drive round trip. I guess it would depend on how much you can get it for. At least you're sensible about what you have and what you "need".

I find that if I stay out of music shops my GAS stays under control. Always on the lookout tho.

I get it. The pickup "picks up" the vibrations from you stomping on it. Very cool!!!!

"The Guitar Encyclopedia" written by GuitarPix.

I'd buy one!!!!!

I've seen this guy's vids before. Makes you think about all the things you complain about during your day. Is it really that big of a deal that someone cut you off or you spilled your coffee? Be thankful for what you have. As they tell my son at school, "We get what we get and we don't have a fit".

My <$80 ebay Art & Lutherie . Wild Cherry laminated, nothing special, not expensive, but it's all mine. I would beat the police with my other two just to keep this one.

I would say approach Chordie as you would talk to a child. Unless you're a sailor and don't care at all, then I think you're fine.

I recently purchased an Epi DR-100. Don't know how it compares to the AJ-100. But it's a good beginner guitar. It's not mine personally as I purchased it for a group of kids. I don't think I would keep it in my arsenal, but that's just me. IMO you can't go wrong with a Yamaha.

I would recommend a quality wood glue like Titebond. To properly secure the bracing to the top it will need to be clamped no matter what. If the bracing is still somewhat attached then the problem will be getting the glue where it needs to be. I am not a pro so take this as opinion not instruction.

By "play" do you mean as good (or bad) as one can play guitar or being actually proficient?

I would say piano and drums

Very original idea!!! But me thinks Howard has too much time on his hands.

They can fix it, that's a good thing. Hopefully with rehab you can get full motion back. It might take awhile but it is possible. What rehab can be better than playing guitar. It's rare to not bend your finger while playing. Maybe you should ask them about that during rehab.

Best of luck Butch!!!!! We are hoping for the best.

What about that rubbing clay used to take scratches out of car paint. I think it's made in various grits all the way down to polishing. Just another thought.
